That time again! New bowls have been made and are available for sale on my website. Some have already been sold from the market this past weekend but see which ones are still available at peacekeeperprojects.com. As always, DMs are open if you want to purchase something and skip shipping in lieu of local pick-up. Link in bio. ⭐️ by @peacekeeper.projects

Mag Rack

Cherry, Wenge, White Oak, Painted Plywood

Kind of a spur of the moment idea, I decided to break from the meticulous planning and forethought that most woodworking requires and embrace a more improvisational approach for the building process. I went into this one without a preliminary design, working my way through a stack of cut-offs and using only hand tools to come up with the form in the moment. Excited to share the result.

Let’s learn wood carving with @peacekeeper.projects!!

Woodworking has been fundamental to human civilization for hundreds of thousands of years. The ability to shape wood enabled people to hunt, build shelters, construct boats, and develop the infrastructure necessary for increasingly complex societies. Evidence of these early woodworking traditions comes from wooden spears discovered at a Paleolithic site in Germany, dating back roughly 300,000 years.

Can’t wait to see what you guys create!

Next workshop MAY 23.

Join me for a beginner-friendly spoon carving workshop. Learn to read wood grain, safely use carving tools, and shape your own spoon of your own design. Tools and materials are provided, and you’ll leave with a finished piece and a deeper appreciation for working wood with your hands.

Tickets available in the newly made workshops section on my website.

Frame for Saskia

Walnut with black dye and red grain-fill, finished with Lacquer.

I’ve only experimented with grain fill once before so I’m pretty happy with how this turned out. Looking to do some more grain fill projects soon.
