We asked a few friends “What scent brings you back home?”

Inspired by their connection to their craft and the scents that help them return.

Let’s learn wood carving with @peacekeeper.projects!!

Woodworking has been fundamental to human civilization for hundreds of thousands of years. The ability to shape wood enabled people to hunt, build shelters, construct boats, and develop the infrastructure necessary for increasingly complex societies. Evidence of these early woodworking traditions comes from wooden spears discovered at a Paleolithic site in Germany, dating back roughly 300,000 years.

Can’t wait to see what you guys create!

Kyle Richard is the LA-based craftsman and teacher behind Peacekeeper Projects—a woodworking studio where every walnut bowl, custom table, and humble wooden spoon are crafted with loving precision and west coast ease.

“Working in the shop in the sun and heat, my hands are very quick to get dry, callused, and tough. It’s nice to not walk around with hands that feel like sandpaper.”

Read more of our interview with Kyle in our email newsletter at the link in bio.
