POSTS STORIES REELS

Hot flashes. Ageing parents. Health hiccups. Kids flying the nest. New ventures. And a rapidly declining tolerance for nonsense.

At Peakly, we’re not talking about midlife from the sidelines. We’re living it. Figuring it out, stumbling along, reinventing ourselves and learning to spend a lot less energy on things that simply don’t matter.

This World Menopause Day, here’s to the mess, the magic and the audacity to start something new at any age. Because midlife isn’t the beginning of the end. It might just be the beginning of something else😍

There comes a point in midlife when you realise that some of the questions have changed.

You are no longer asking only:

How do I build a life?

You are also asking:

Do I still want this life?

What do I want now?

What am I curious about?

What am I done with?

Can I change careers?

Can I fall in love again?

Can I make new friends?

Can I dress differently?

Can I want sex differently?

Can I spend my money differently?

Can I stop being the person everyone depends upon?

Can I start something completely new?

Can I simply have more fun?

Peakly is here for those questions.

Maybe you do not need another account telling you how to look younger, eat cleaner, sleep better, dress appropriately for your age or become the most optimised version of yourself.

Maybe you need somewhere to think.

Somewhere to laugh.

Somewhere to say, “Wait. Is everyone else thinking this too?”

Peakly is for the questions, conversations, stories, discoveries and occasional rabbit holes that make this particular stage of life interesting.

For women who have lived enough to know what no longer works, but are curious about what might.

Follow Peakly.

There is plenty more life ahead.

Follow us for stories of women reinventing themselves, conversations that go beyond the obvious, practical things you actually need to know, people worth discovering, and ideas that make you look at your own life a little differently.

We don’t have all the answers.

But we intend to ask very good questions.

Welcome to Peakly. We’ll try to get some answers.

WHAT DOES PEAKLY ACTUALLY DO?

We talk about the things women in midlife are actually thinking about.

Not just menopause.

Not just anti-ageing.

Not just how to “stay relevant” at work.

And definitely not how to become a younger version of ourselves.

We talk about what happens when your life changes and you change with it.

We bring together women, experts, thinkers and practitioners for conversations about:

→ Work, purpose and reinvention
→ Relationships, intimacy and desire
→ Health, food, movement and feeling good
→ Money, law and knowing your stuff
→ Confidence, communication and presence
→ Style, identity and self-expression
→ Friendship, grief and ageing parents
→ The changing roles of midlife
→ Pleasure, possibility and what comes next

We also tell the stories of women who have changed direction, started over, taken an unexpected turn or simply decided that the life they had built was no longer quite the life they wanted.

Peakly is part magazine, part conversation, part community and part permission slip.

Come in. Stay awhile.

MENOPAUSE IS TRENDING. BUT ARE INDIAN WOMEN ACTUALLY GETTING THE CARE THEY NEED?

For generations, women were expected to endure menopause quietly. The sleepless nights, the hot flushes, the joint pain, the mood changes, the exhaustion. Get on with life. Do not make a fuss.

Now, we are finally talking about it. And that is progress.

In January 2026, Maharashtra launched dedicated menopause clinics across its public healthcare system. More than 22,000 women visited these clinics within their first few weeks, according to reported state health data.

That tells us something important: the need for care is real.

But awareness is only the beginning. What happens to the woman who does not know her symptoms could be related to menopause? Who cannot afford repeated consultations? Who has been told that this is simply what getting older feels like? Who is so busy looking after everyone else that she has stopped paying attention to herself?

At Peakly, we believe that menopause deserves more than a hashtag. Women deserve reliable information, trained healthcare professionals, affordable treatment and the freedom to ask questions without embarrassment.

We have spent generations telling women to get on with it. Perhaps it is time we started helping them instead.

Have you found it easy to access reliable menopause care? We would love to hear your experiences.

At Godrej Lit Live, while discussing my book The Game Changers, one of the points that came up was the curious contradiction in the lives of many women entrepreneurs.

A woman can be an equal co-founder with her husband. They can build a business together, share the risks, make decisions together and call themselves equal partners.

But who is organising the children’s lives? Who is looking after ageing parents and in-laws? Who is managing the household, remembering appointments, coordinating care and keeping the domestic machinery running?

Too often, the answer is still the woman.

We celebrate women entrepreneurs, but do we examine the conditions under which they are expected to work? Professional equality does not automatically translate into equality at home.

A woman should not have to be an equal partner in a business and the sole proprietor of the household’s unpaid labour.

Our latest Peakly piece looks at the double shift of women entrepreneurs, and why supporting their ambition must also mean sharing their responsibilities.

Cancer care advocate and actor Viji Venkatesh landed her first acting role at 70, when most people might have expected her to be winding down!

Today, she’s just signed her eighth role.

Who says midlife and old age have to mean slowing down or shrinking ourselves? There is no one way to grow older, and no timeline we all have to follow.

Listen to her. You might just rethink what’s possible😍

WHAT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO REINVENT YOURSELF IN MIDLIFE?

Apparently, midlife is the time to launch a business, write a book, find your purpose, take up painting, travel solo, get stronger, establish boundaries and become the most authentic version of yourself yet.

And if you do not want to do any of these things? What if you actually like your life? What if you want to spend more time reading, see your friends more often, take a holiday, or simply sit in peace without having to turn it into a mindfulness practice?

Somewhere along the way, the freedom to reinvent ourselves has become another expectation we must live up to.

At Peakly, we believe that reinvention can be wonderful. But it should be an invitation, not an obligation. You do not have to monetise your passion, turn your hobby into a business or produce an inspirational second-act story for the world.

You have already lived a life. You are allowed to change it, continue it, or simply enjoy the life you have built.

Our latest opinion piece asks an uncomfortable question: Must every woman turn herself into a success story?

Read it on Peakly. Link in bio.

And tell us: are you reinventing yourself in midlife, or are you giving yourself permission to simply be?

MENOPAUSE HAS FINALLY BECOME A CONVERSATION. HAS IT ALSO BECOME A BUSINESS?

For years, women were told to put up with menopause quietly. Now we have supplements, hormone-balancing protocols, wellness programmes, miracle products and an endless stream of advice about how to fix ourselves.

Some of this is useful. Some of it is necessary. But how much of it is evidence-based, and how much is an industry capitalising on women’s very real anxieties?

When did taking care of ourselves become another job we could fail at?

In our latest Peakly opinion piece, we look at the menopause industrial complex, the business of selling women solutions, and why we deserve more than another shopping list of things we supposedly need to get right.

Because women deserve informed choices, good healthcare and honest conversations, not a new set of insecurities packaged as empowerment.

We are not problems to be solved.

Who says you have to stick to one version of yourself?
We are kicking off Peakly’s Midlife Reinvention Series with Ruchita Dar Shah, a woman who has gone from advertising to building a thriving community of over 100,000 Indian mothers, and now, at 50, is finding her way back to her first love: art.

In this candid conversation, Ruchita talks about self-doubt, starting over without a Plan B, letting go of an identity she spent 13 years building, and discovering that sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is trust your gut and figure things out as you go.

Her reminder to women who wonder if it is too late to begin again? You do not have to stick to one version of yourself just because everyone else has got comfortable with it. Including YOU!

And her favourite midlife anti-ageing tip? Forget the creams and serums. Reinvention is the real anti-ageing tip!

Read Ruchita’s story on Peakly. Link in bio.
Because midlife is not the end of the story. It is an invitation to write a new chapter.

In midlife, so many truths unfold. So many epiphanies happen. We begin to see ourselves, our relationships and what truly matters with a new kind of clarity.

At Peakly, we’re fortunate to have supporters who believe in what we’re building and the conversations we want to bring to the forefront.

We asked one of our biggest supporters, Chiara Nath, what the hardest emotional truth she has learned in midlife.

Here’s what she shared❤️

#Peakly #themidlifechapters #women #emotional #forgiveness by @peakly.life

What is your midlife story?

We want to hear it.

The turning points. The unexpected beginnings. The things you walked away from. The things you finally chose for yourself. The career you changed, the relationship you ended or began, the dream you put on hold and picked up again, the thing you thought you were too old to do and then did anyway.

Perhaps midlife changed you. Perhaps it simply gave you the courage to become more yourself.

We are inviting women to share their stories with us for a new Peakly series celebrating the many, messy, surprising, funny, difficult and wonderful ways women experience midlife.

This is not for those who had it all figured out, we want to hear from you if you’re still figuring it out.

That is the most interesting midlife story.
Tell us yours.

DM us, or write to us at peakly.in@gmail.com.

Your story might be exactly what another woman needs to hear❤️
