-The most talented players have to continuously put in the effort to develop and improve-

⚾️If you want to play this game for years to come, you will need to create strong work ethics and an unshakable attitude.

👉During the offseason you have the opportunity to slow things down and really work on your skills—without the pressure of tomorrow’s game or the weekend’s tournament.
Get in your reps. Work on the things that are uncomfortable. Learn why something isn’t working instead of just taking more swings.

‼️Remember: the goal isn’t to just work harder….it’s to develop your skills and become a smarter, more confident baseball player.

📅Use this time wisely, you will thank yourself when the season starts in the spring!

-Make training a HABIT!

⚾️Every good hitter learns this eventually: you don’t wait until the season starts to build your swing. Hitting requires timing, strength, sound mechanics and confidence.

That’s what the offseason is for! The offseason gives players something incredibly valuable—time to develop without the pressure of the game. There’s time to work through weaknesses, make adjustments, get stronger, and repeat good mechanics until they begin to feel natural.

There is no quick fix or magic pill for becoming a great hitter. It takes discipline, consistency, and ultimately, the player has to want it.
The things we care about, we spend time on. If becoming a better hitter matters to you, now is the time to put in the work!

MAKE TRAINING A HABIT.

📋This photo is from Aug 2016 at Petco Park. Josh, John and I were watching Jacob warm up before the High School All-American game. It was surreal…I knew all the hard work, dedication, and struggles that were part of Jacob’s journey….there were so many emotions. There’s Josh and John, soaking it all in and knowing anything was possible for them as well, if they dedicated themselves, stayed the course and worked hard.

All of these amazing baseball experiences I have had with my boys is what has lead me to starting PBA. (Besides the fact that I’ve loved to play baseball for as long as I can remember🤣) So after 25 years of being a professional firefighter, I retired in July of 2019. I started offering a few classes to some local players and then through word of mouth my dream quickly became a reality. It’s been the best feeling ever to help young players chase their dreams and help navigate them on their journey, just like I did for my own boys.
It’s still hard to believe this photo is almost 10 years old and the person I was back then was only dreaming…
