Four days. Three rooms. Twelve sessions. 🎶

We had our first songwriting camp with our partner @neighbourlymusic at their incredible studios near Manchester, bringing artists and producers together across four days of writing and collaboration.

Thank you to everyone who took part for filling the rooms with talent, ideas and great energy. We couldn’t have asked for a better group 🫶

George Fenton was one of Britain’s great film composers, whose extraordinary music brought some of the most memorable films and programmes to life.

Throughout his remarkable career, George won two Emmys, received two Grammy nominations and was nominated for five Oscars, including for Best Song for “Cry Freedom” and Best Score for Gandhi, Cry Freedom, Dangerous Liaisons and The Fisher King. His beautiful and unforgettable scores also became an important part of David Attenborough’s The Blue Planet, Planet Earth and Frozen Planet.

George’s music touched millions of people around the world. His work will continue to be heard, remembered and loved for generations to come.

George Fenton is survived by his wife, Amanda; ex-wife Jane; children Gemma, Grace and Bridget; and grandchildren Lola, Audrey, Alfred, George, Frank and Beatrice.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. taken in peermusic UK by @peermusicuk
