The Penn State Interfraternity Council has released a statement addressing recent reports of sexual misconduct involving fraternity members at Cornell University. Sexual violence and sexual misconduct have no place in fraternity and sorority life, on Penn State’s campus, or in our community.

The full statement is on our website, pennstateifc.org, under the Resources tab. It is also linked in our bio.

If you or someone you know needs support, Penn State resources are listed in the slides above.

Respectfully,
The Penn State Interfraternity Council Executive Board by @pennstateifc

‼️Delayed recruitment is this week and open to all students‼️

“Our chapter was founded in 1957 on the foundation of Judeo-Christian principles, leadership, scholarship, loyalty, and self-support. We boast an extensive alumni network with active house ties across all fields.”

“Sigma Nu was founded at Penn State in 1909 as the Delta Delta Chapter. Founded at the Virginia Military Institute in 1869, Sigma Nu is guided by the principles of Love, Honor, and Truth and holds the distinction of being the only fraternity founded in opposition to hazing. We have a strong tradition of leadership and service, with members contributing to student government, THON, and numerous campus organizations. Sigma Nu will also build meaningful partnerships with local organizations throughout State College”

“Alpha Rho Chi is a Co-ed Professional Fraternity for students of arts and architecture. All are welcome, always looking for new friends.”

“TEP rechartered in 2017, we are very involved in THON and raise money for Our Military Kids” by @pennstateifc

Every semester, our IFC Executive Board hosts PNM Orientation as their recruitment kick-off. This event allows interested students to hear about the recruitment process, ask questions, and hear from a guest speaker. This semester, IFC had Casey Cornelius, ForCollegeForLife, back to do his signature program, "Carrying the Fire." Carrying the Fire is an inspiring program designed to help new members understand what comes next after they join an organization. Through honest storytelling and practical insight, Casey J. Cornelius challenges students to see membership as a responsibility and an opportunity to shape the future of their chapter, team, or group. #WeAre #PennStateFSL by @pennstateifc

The Interfraternity Council is introducing a new program for Sophomores and Juniors in the IFC community who are looking to get involved. The Junior IFC will be built on providing a foundation of information and experience for future leaders of their chapter or the Interfraternity Council Executive Board.

What you can expect to get out of the Junior IFC:

Leadership experience
Giving you/your chapter a window into the IFC and how it operates
Creating a pathway for yourself to an executive position within your chapter or the IFC
Networking with other leaders in the community and your peers

This program will last until mid-November of the Fall 2026 Semester. You will be expected to attend bi-weekly meetings, and attend Leadership Skill Workshops and Executive Roundtables weekly throughout your term. There was a slideshow emailed to you if you are looking for more information.

This application is due Saturday, September 12th. Scan the QR code above. If selected, you will be contacted about doing a ~10 minute interview, and then you will be notified if accepted into the program. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Jaden Quinones, Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Advancement at jcq5038@psu.edu by @pennstateifc
