A love letter to our matriarch 💋💕🇵🇷

What a special moment I shared in September for Hispanic history month getting to glam my beautiful cousin @llasheeee as we did a dedicated look to our grandmother.

Our grandmother is the eldest of over 10 siblings and was sent to New York young to work and help support her family. She didn’t get the opportunity to get a certain level of education. Yet that didn’t stop her from learning how to write, read and speak English. She raised her children on her own as a teen mom and she exemplifies what it was like to have to make so many sacrifices not knowing if it would even pay off. BUT one thing our grandmother would never sacrifice is her look 💋

From as early as I could remember she always maintained a certain appearance as she took her look with pride. That red lipstick was her armor.

It’s so funny to me how their reactions to me doing their makeup was so similar even without knowing. Truly a magical moment.

Did you miss me? 🥹💕

September, you were so loving to me—especially during my solar return. ✨🧚‍♀️

I’ve truly missed y’all, but I’d be lying if I said this break wasn’t one of the best I’ve had thus far. I’ve been able to be fully present for so many magical moments. I did sneak in here and there because I couldn’t help myself, lol.

But we are SO back. ❤️🌶️💕

I made this carousel with some of my favorite moments from September.

From seeing my work in Sephora for @kulfi.beauty , to skating into 30 surrounded by my loved ones.

Seeing my favorite movie with a live band alongside my godmother—the woman who introduced me to Labyrinth, shares my love for David Bowie, and got to celebrate 40 years of a film that changed my life and the way I view the world with me.

Visiting the motherland with someone I love so much and getting to show JP a part of his roots. 🇵🇷❤️

Sharing a girls’ day with my childhood friends and now getting to make memories with their daughters, too.

So many moments I’ll carry with me forever.

I’m ready to make my return for October. I hope you’re ready… 👀✨
