2025 was such a crazy year of competition that I’m not sure we’ll be able to top it next year. 53 Fights with only 7 losses, 4 national titles, 3 gold medals in Thailand, multiple new titles, countless BJJ gold medals, absolute div titles, team championships and a bunch of pro grappling wins as well. Thousands upon thousands of miles of travel by car, and endless hours of training from every student at the gym. This years success is a milestone that was only achieved by everyone’s hard work and determination!! I am unbelievably proud of what we’ve built here at my gym. My little hole in the wall that barely fits the number of people who choose to attend classes here year after year. I could barely squeeze all the highlights in to this video and had to cut so many more, but enjoy a look into what a year it’s been for us 🙏 Additional thanks to the promotions who provide us with a platform to compete and improve! @warriorscup_3pp @noboundaryfight @cagewarsmma @laceuppromotions @k4_fighting @full_contact_promotions_ @theofficialgladiusfights @menofwarpro @elite_fighting_promotions @rfc.promotions . . . . . #performancecombat #performancecombatmma #wallingford #wallingfordct #mma #kickboxing #muaythai #k1 #bjj #nogi #jiujitsu #combatsports #fightlife #fighting #highlights #highlight #martialart #martialarts taken in Performance Combat MMA by @performance_combat_mike

🥇 @briamcck is now an ISKA MuayThai world champion! I don’t think there are enough words in the English language to describe how proud I am of this kid. She is the hardest working, most dedicated martial artist any coach could ask for, and she’s had a rough year personally. To be able to take her first ever international trip, only her second plane ever, and come home with the gold is an experience I know she’ll cherish for the rest of her life. Meanwhile she gets to spend time with some of the best amateur kickboxers America has to offer and be inspired to new heights! 😵‍💫💥🥊 . . . . #performancecombat #performancecombatmma #wallingford #wallingfordct #iska #iskausa #kickboxing #muaythai #girlswhofight #martialarts #girlswhokick #rcbjj #ricardocavalcantibjj #teamricardocavalcanti #worldchamp #worldchampion taken in Vienna - Austria by @performance_combat_mike

15 years flew by in the blink of an eye, it really feels like I just opened yesterday, but then I remember I've been doing this for more than a 1/3 of my life. I've been through every up and down in the game that a coach could possibly go through, and I still haven't achieved all of the dreams I had when I opened, but I'm sure as hell trying! A gym is just a room with some mats and equipment, the people who attend that gym are what make it special. I have always done my best to stay on the cutting edge of martial arts in every aspect and not be limited to being a specialist. That means absurd hours, limitless burn out and weekends spent traveling the country for competition. If it wasn't for the people at the gym being as great as they are, I'm not sure I could do this with as much enthusiasm for this long. I still wake up every day ready to go with as much passion as I had when I started. It's just that I wake up in way more pain than I used to! Here is a small selection of photos from our anniversary party and a number of great photos shot by various photographers over the many years we've been at it. The collection keeps growing and someday soon I hope to share my giant backlog of photos with everyone. #Performancecombatmma #wallingfordct #muaythai #BJJ #mma taken in Performance Combat MMA by @performance_combat_mike

15 years in the books 📚 I can’t even tag a fraction of the people in the photo. We were missing so many regulars and still filled the frame to the point where my ultra wide lens struggled! Thank you to everyone who made it and wished me congratulations, same to the crazy number who messaged me the same but couldn’t make it. It feels like I opened yesterday but then I remember the incredible ups and downs I’ve been through and realize it’s been more than 1/3 of my life 🫣 I have more photos and thoughts to share this weekend but first we need to get though Aiden’s fight so bare with me 🙏 For now, thanks again for all the well wishes and for everyone who trusts me to teach you every week. #performancecombatmma #wallingfordct taken in Performance Combat MMA by @performance_combat_mike

What a night, and day, and weekend! We made our return to Madison Square Garden Infosys Theatre yesterday, this time for @flexfightseries , to fight for the ISKA New York State Featherweight MuayThai title. It's always been very difficult to find opponents for @briamcck in the regional scene as it's a relatively shallow division anywhere you go. This has required us to travel over seas and fight in national tournaments multiple times to find girls, but this time an opponent was brought to us from Iowa. This was a showdown between the TBA champ from Iowa versus the East coast WKA champ in Bria. We both believe in taking on the hard fights while also selecting opponents who will force you to grow in new ways so that you don't become trapped in one style. This girl has been destroying people with a powerful right and no one wants to fight her, so we were excited! The work our girl puts in is second to none, and is basically the all consuming focus of her life. What is nice is that at this level I'm not simply dictating coaching to someone, it's an entirely collaborative affair of both research, game planning and consistent feedback. She keeps me just as on point and aware of her situation and thought process as I do both in camp and during that fight, and the groove we've come into over the last two years is nothing short of technical harmony. Thank you for all the support, I know many people who did buy tickets didn't come out because of the crazy weather but still supported from home. My phone exploded that night! Thanks for those who could make it, for Bria's sponsors, and all the training partners who suffered her beatings leading up to this fight. Special thanks to ISKA who gave us this shot at their state title! Next up we will be heading overseas for the ISKA World Championships in Spain to see if we can upgrade from a Junior world champ to a full blown adult champ! 13-1 MuayThai, 2-0 MMA Put some respect on her name #muaythai #girlswhofight #Kickboxing #Performancecombatmma #fightlife taken in Madison Square Garden by @performance_combat_mike

A hell of a Monday, classes were all packed but MuayThai took it with 43 in attendance. @briamcck is ready for her fight, the gym is covered in sweat and we are all settled in for our autumn sessions! Always great to see returning students rejoining for the season and most of our injuries all better after a busy summer. #wallingfordct #performancecombatmma #muaythai #kickboxing #martialarts taken in Performance Combat MMA by @performance_combat_mike

After only 8 months @joeymast_33 stepped into the cage for his first kickboxing bout. We found him an opponent with about a year of experience and a few extra inches of height who would be a fair match and boy did it deliver. These two really swung it out with fire on every shot from the first bell to the last. It honestly looked like they had both trained much longer and the cardio even held up for the most part. Really happy with the results and the hard work Joey has put in after such a short amount of time. Thanks to @theofficialb4ndz for stepping into the corner and letting himself take joeys shots during warm ups hahaha. Always a pleasure to join @artofcombatsc at their show. #performancecombatmma #kickboxing #muaythai #combatsport #fightlife taken in Performance Combat MMA by @performance_combat_mike

A tough weekend at nationals this time for sure, nobody in Bria or victors division, Aiden, Katrina and Quinn moving up in weight, and Jason being sick, does not make for smooth sailing haha. We still pulled off some great wins, with Quinn having an absolute war and on day two Ben took the national title in the open class kickboxing division improving his record to 12-0 despite the most hilarious head gear malfunction in his first fight. The hardest fight may have been Bria and Katrina versus the bedroom door at our Airbnb. The door won, 30-27. They literally could not open it after blocking themselves in their bedroom. Better photos to come once they release everything in a week or two. #performancecombatmma #kickboxing #muaythai #wallingfordct #fightlife taken in Performance Combat MMA by @performance_combat_mike

This past Saturday a few of our beginners jumped into a tournament. @jkaffk secured his first gold and @rubanoxoxo had a massive set of two brackets where he made a great come back for double bronze finishing his last two opponents. Great showing as always for our white belts and thanks to @rob_labonte1 @briamcck and @aiden_mcki for coaching! #performancecombatmma #wallingford #grappling #nogi #jiujitsu taken in Performance Combat MMA by @performance_combat_mike
