Who else is ready to do the spooky stuff? I have not a word of exaggeration been waiting all year to say this: Halloween minis are OPEN. 🕸️🎃💛

If you know me you know my house will be getting decked OUT for halloween but before I put all the decor and props outside I want some cuties to come take pictures! I've got pumpkins, skeletons, spiderwebs and all the halloween props. This is literally my whole personality every October and I am not sorry about it.

And cause halloween is so special, we're doing $65 a session (includes a minimum of 20 images), running until October 31. Bring your costume, bring your witchy stuff, bring whatever spooky-cute chaos you've got going on. I want all of it. 🕷️💛

I feel like I am playing the fastest game of catchup ever with all the events I've had the pleasure of capturing.

There's something different about photographing a room full of people who showed up for a reason bigger than themselves — you can feel it in the way people actually talk to each other, the way nobody's posing for the camera because they're too busy being present.

Huge thank you to Ranny and the entire @BloomBenefits team for trusting me with that. Being the photographer in a room like that means you get a front-row seat to generosity in action, and I don't take that lightly. 💛

Grateful doesn't quite cover it. Thank you for having me and I would encourage everyone to keep an eye on the incredible work they are doing to give back to the community and bring together a group of people who actually give a sh*t about making a real difference. 💛

The spider webs are up, the props are out, and my house is decked OUT for spooky season. Halloween is one of my favourite holidays and I'm always excited to get dm's with everybody's spooky shoot ideas. Getting to play around and bring them to life is always a blast and I'm usually jealous of the final images.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡

This year I'm holding my family, my friends, my support system, business besties and all the blessings of the past year close to my heart. There is so much I'm truly grateful for, and today feels like the perfect day to sit with it all.

I'm finally catching up after Pumpkin Spice & Pictures, and I'm still thinking about Bowness Park, the warm drinks, and a group of Calgary women who showed up in their cutest fall outfits to make friends and walk away with a few photos of themselves. 🍂 Oh and also the fact that we timed it PERFECTLY before the wind blew everything off the trees!!

Thank you to everyone who came, to everyone who bought a ticket and helped spread the word and to everyone who trusted the process. That's what made it feel the way it did. 💛

Our next one is winter themed, and tickets are live now. Hot Cocoa & Candids is coming in mid-November, with the same hangout, same good company, and a fresh batch of photos to take home. Link in bio. 🤎

Pumpkin Spice and Pictures, Bowness Park

Last Saturday, a wonderful group of women gathered at Bowness Park for a relaxed, casual photoshoot, and I came home with the fullest heart! 💛

I made some lovely new connections, and even have coffee dates on the calendar already! @gemmaaitchisonca

This week has been a quiet one for me virtually. I’ve had such a mix of joy and sadness that it’s been difficult to share online but I’ve been working so hard to be more consistent in showing up and putting myself out there.

Last Sunday my grandfather passed away. My family was crushed to loose such a core pillar of strength and I think we just spent the whole week trying to hold it together. I paused pretty much everything going on just to be with my family and grieve together.

I felt weird posting or promoting anything because photography was also a passion that I shared with him. He would always ask about my photos and if I’d “taken any good photos lately”. He taught my mom to take photos and she taught me. His favourites were the birds. He always loved taking walks and capturing the birds.

In contrast, this past Saturday was one of the most joyful experiences I’ve had for myself and my business. Hosting my first event and having every single person show up and enjoy the space we created together was so special. Getting to take so many gorgeous photos in the park and see all of the smiling faces having fun and meeting new people was so special to me. I want to thank everyone who came out and I can’t wait to share the photos we got together❤️🍁

The park we hosted at was actually one my mom showed me because her dad showed her. So it was really special to also carry that part of my grandfather with me that day. For now there is no grand conclusion or profound message. I just wanted to share gratitude for all the love and support and quite honestly just post something to break the seal as well.

I found out that a picture I took of my grandfather will actually be the one used at his funeral which means the world to me and reminds me exactly why I keep doing what I do. For the memories. Good, sad and everything in between. ❤️ by @perspectivesbymt

This photo is basically the thing my brain has been doing for weeks. 💛

It's a little bit hard to describe. Giddy. Nervous. Wide awake at 2am making lists. Kind of excited. I've been putting so much work into bringing this next chapter to life, quietly, behind the scenes.

This is what that looks like from the outside, apparently.

I'm not someone who does things halfway and I certinly don't do them small. I have had so much support from friends, family and community latley and it's giving me all the energy and drive for these next big exciting projects.
