Pumpkin Spice and Pictures, Bowness Park

Last Saturday, a wonderful group of women gathered at Bowness Park for a relaxed, casual photoshoot, and I came home with the fullest heart! 💛

I made some lovely new connections, and even have coffee dates on the calendar already! @gemmaaitchisonca

A huge thank you to Michaela of @perspectivesbymt for bringing us all together and making the afternoon so beautiful. 🌻

She is hosting another event in November, and I cannot recommend it enough. Link Below ,💛

🍂✨ I’m starting to love myself again… but this time, from a whole new perspective. From the inside out. ❤️

At 40, I’m learning so much about myself, and one of the biggest lessons is that not everyone is going to love me, like me or even understand me… and I’m genuinely OK with that. ❤️

I’ve spent so many years being so many things to so many people. A mum, a wife, a friend, a businesswoman… and somewhere along the way, I think I forgot to give myself the same love and kindness I so freely give to others.

I’m learning that I don’t have to be everyone’s cup of tea. I don’t have to explain myself to everyone, and I certainly don’t have to change who I am to fit into someone else’s expectations.

I’m not perfect. I’ve made mistakes, I’ve had my struggles, I’ve grown, and I’m still learning every single day.

But I’m proud of the woman I’m becoming. 🥹

For the first time in a long time, I’m looking at photos of myself and not immediately picking out my flaws. Instead, I’m seeing a woman who’s been through a lot, who has a big heart, who keeps showing up and who is finally starting to recognise her own worth.

I’m choosing peace over people-pleasing, authenticity over approval, and self-love over self-criticism.

And if that means I’m not everyone’s favourite person, that’s absolutely fine.

Because the most important relationship I’ll ever have with myself is the one I’m finally learning to nurture. ❤️

Here’s to 40, to growth, to being unapologetically ourselves and to falling in love with who we are, from the inside out. 🍁✨

Can I tell you something I don’t say enough?

Photoshoots changed my life. Not metaphorically, literally!

Every time I do one, I feel myself evolve in real time.

There’s something about getting fully seen, hair, makeup, lighting, the whole experience, that forces you to meet a version of yourself you’ve been becoming quietly, behind the scenes.

I walk in as one woman. I walk out as someone more locked in. 🔐

More tapped into her purpose. More ready for what’s next.💛✨💫

And then the universe seems to respond. New opportunities.

New collaborations. New possibilities I couldn’t have called in from the old version of me.💯

I’ve experienced this enough times now to know it’s not random, it’s the nervous system catching up to a new frequency.

So when I built the Become Her Photoshoot Experience, I built it so other women could have this same portal. Not just a photoshoot. A becoming.

If you’ve been feeling the pull toward your next level, this is your sign.

Comment, BECOME and I’ll send you the link to sign up 💎🫶 It’s a live experience on Sep 19th, and we only have 6 spots open.

After 20 pounds of butter, 8 kg of flour, 5 dozen eggs, and 4 kg of sugar… the Criollo Pastry Cake Gala 2026 came to life. 🎂✨

What a day.

I am incredibly grateful for all the help, encouragement, and support I received. From everyone who reposted the Gala poster and helped spread the word, to my behind-the-scenes team (aka the fam jam💛), and of course, every single person who purchased a ticket and came to experience Criollo Pastry.

Within the first 30 minutes, the dessert display had been completely enjoyed! 🥹 Seeing everyone so excited to discover the different flavours and creations was an incredible feeling.

More than anything, it was so special to see so many of you experience Criollo Pastry in one room.

I know some of you didn't get a chance to try everything you had your eye on especially the chiffon cakes! 👀 Many of those cakes are part of the Criollo Pastry collection, so this doesn't have to be your last taste. 💚

A special thank you to @club_citrine for the beautiful mocktails 🍹 that made the evening that much more special, and to @perspectivesbymt for capturing the Gala while I was busy running around making sure everything came together. 📸

And thank you for all your feedbacks. I'm taking it all in, learning from our first Cake Gala, and already thinking about what's next.

The next one will be bigger and better. Stay tuned. 🩷

Networking nights like this remind me why I love what I do. ❤️

When you genuinely enjoy the people you work with, it never really feels like work. I’ve built an incredible network of supportive, inspiring people who cheer each other on, collaborate, and celebrate each other’s wins.

I’m so grateful for the friendships, opportunities, and community that have come from simply putting myself out there.

Here’s to building relationships, supporting local businesses, and surrounding yourself with good people. That’s where the magic happens. ✨

Some more of the beautiful creations that covered our tables, because we still can’t get over the amount of talent that was brought to this year’s Cake Garden.✨

Each cake was a genuine work of art and seeing the diversity of flavours, designs and colours was so special. Every creation reflected its baker’s unique perspective and personality, making the tables feel like their own little gallery. What a wonderful day spent taking life one slice at a time🍰😋
