@cheols.cafe … but in the city! Yes! These legends have opened a joint opposite Mercedes College in East Perth and on St George’s Tce… and of ccoouurrssseeeee the coffee is as good as their Mt Lawley cafe.

Food is cabinet style - perfect for the on-the-go style of city workers. Expect the faves alongside offerings with a Korean flair.

Perth’s home of whiskey… and bloody great coffee! ☕️ @whippersnapperdistillery is keeping people fuelled at both ends of the day - come past in the morning for perfectly made creamy @5sensescoffee and after 10am you can make it Irish 🇮🇪 🥃

If you’re in East Perth - venture off Royal Street to find these guys at the back of the ABC.

Ooooer @palettefreo at Leighton beach - you are a beauty.

Their seasonal porridge has made me annoyed my winter mornings are consumed with my kids’ soccer and not going out and trying ALL the porridge. This one was like eating a Cointreau soaked pudding with its orange mascarpone, plus strawberry and rhubarb compote…and for crunch - pistachio and seed brittle.

For a more meaty brekky you can’t go past the birria eggs Benedict. Spicy, rich pulled beef atop THICCCCCC potato rosti doused in brown hollandaise and pickled onion for zing. The eggs - perfectly poached of course.

The rest of the menu here is sophisticated with all the faves included.

If you’re late to the party like me - add Palette to your must visit list!

Ahhh @mellowcoffeemtlawley - why did it take me so long to visit! ICYMI - this Korean-inspired cafe moved from its long time home in Wembley over to a new joint in Mt Lawley.

The kimchi shakshuka is loaded with all the good stuff - plenty of chorizo, gooey cheese, beans and spicy kimchi topped with a panko crumbed crispy egg. I love they give you a few slices of bread to mop up afterwards.

Tender beef bulgogi with silky chilli scrambled eggs on a croissant is a flavour combo you won’t forget… and for all the right reasons. Soooo good. A sprinkling of Asian herbs and fresh cherry toms added a fresh finish.

Coffee here is creamy, robust, and perfectly made - everything you’d expect from @5sensescoffee taken in Mellow Coffee by @perthbreakfast

Have you checked out the new @edithcowanuniversity in the city? INCREDIBLE! And the legends at @grindhouseecu followed them of course. It’s on the ground level and even has a convenient coffee window facing Yagan Square if you don’t want to mingle with the students 😉

Grindhouse serves city-worthy coffee - def check it out! And have a nosey around the campus while you’re there. 🤩

Beautiful breakfast with beautiful flavours from @theloftcomo 🌺

🦞A flakey croissant filled with shredded lobster, prawns and crab and topped with pickles, cucumber salsa and dill was a bit of luxury for a Sunday morning! Bright yet classic flavours - 👌🏻

🍄 mushrooms with pesto on silky scrambled eggs was the kind of dish that had you thinking - “I haven’t had eggs this good in a LONG time.” The addition of sweet pickles really lifted this one into stratosphere 🏆

🥞 for those with a sweet tooth - look no further than their pancakes topped with custard cream, seasonal fruit and brownie crumble. The custard cream tasted like a classic Chantilly cream - not too sweet but decadent nonetheless.

Coffee was a perfect cup with beans courtesy of @tobysestatecoffee

Sorry it’s been a while between posts - life has been kicking arse lately! And now I am anxiously waiting to see if we can make our Easter trip to @gnaraloostation 🙏🏻

Tell me where you’ve been living for breakfast lately?

A break in breakfast content to share this experience - seeing orca in the Bremer Bay Canyon with @naturalistecharters

We are so lucky in WA that we can have once-in-a-lifetime experiences like this.

My little ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ review.

We were lucky to see so many orca on our trip and the crew were really knowledgeable about which families we were seeing - We saw Cookie and Sara’s families - orca have a matriarchal society. A female was also spotted with them who they hadn’t seen since 2015!

There is plenty of room on the boat and we didn’t feel crowded in - not once were we fighting for a spot to see the orca. The captain makes sure he changes position of the boat so everyone gets to see and the crew were great at predicting the movements of the pod.

The crew were very attentive to everyone, especially those who got sea sick - they were basically nurses as well!

Food, snacks and drinks were readily available during the trip and I love they use a local cafe to cater the boat.
