A true Bermondsey Triangle favourite, London producer, DJ, and visual artist DJ Gonz @pesoneto_ joins us at Ormside Projects for SBF 2026. Across his work, he constructs layered melodic refrains and kuduro-inspired drum programming. Held together by the conventions ‘the club’, he draws from an unlikely set of influences - free-tekno, dub and kuduro.

Live, Gonz translates this pensive, driving energy with raw synths and swirling percussion - dubbed out in real time to create heavy, physical body music.

Saturday 26th September
3pm - 7am

Join us this Wednesday April 29 for a conversation between Mark Dear and Gonçalo Neto.

Both artists work primarily through drawing, using it as a foundation to explore broader aspects of their practices. In this discussion, they will reflect on process, influence, and the evolving role of drawing within their work.

Mark Dear’s practice centres on drawing. Without formal training, he works instinctively, developing a playful yet expressive style characterised by loose lines, bold strokes, vivid colour, and exaggerated figures. His work balances realism with a romantic sensibility to explore symbolism, identity, and cross-cultural references.

Gonçalo Neto’s practice is rooted in drawing, with a keen ability to render emotion and atmosphere through line and tone. His work now extends across drawing, print, and sound. His most recent project, Portal, is a 36-page hand-illustrated comic following a man on an unexpected psychedelic journey through his own mind. Neto is also a music producer and co-runs the industrial sonics label SELN Recordings with Conrad Pack.

The event begins at 7pm and is open to the public. by @pesoneto_

SELN presents Celebrating New Industrial
At Strange Brew Bristol [25.04.26]

SELN hosts its debut Bristol venture as part of the ever expanding event series Celebrating New Industrial. Somewhat of a second spiritual homeland for SELN, it’s with great pleasure the label hosts its first official venture in the West Country’s capital.

Akua has cemented herself as one of the most distinctive techno DJs coming out of the U.S. in recent years. Forefronting the current generation of artists reviving the spirit of techno’s enduring velocity her no-compromise mindset presents an old-school sound while simultaneously keeping the pulse of the contemporary techno milieu.

Conrad Pack runs the SELN Recordings label with DJ Gonz and his productions there explore the terrain between tuff, rooted soundsystem steppers and high-BPM techno, while his evolving productions for Lost Domain explore a hard-edged and dub-enriched sound with echoes of early Axis. Pack has been focussing of late on live performance showcasing his distinct sonic vision of techno.

DJ Gonz co-runs SELN recordings where his releases perpetuate focused melodic riffs joint with heavy leading percussion. Drawing on influence from free-tekno, dub and kuduro, his sound is both pensive, driving whilst still rooted in a soundsystem tradition. Previous output include The Messenger on Wain Records and most recently Magical Negro Overdrive.

Vega is the founder of UVB-76 Music and DROOGS and a key affiliate of Ruffhouse. As both a DJ and producer he has played a central role in shaping the label’s sonic focus on atmospheric, deep, and technically refined drum & bass and techno. Active within Bristol’s underground scene and frequenting platforms such as SWU/Rinse FM his sets and productions explore the darker and emotive edges of bass music while maintaining a strong emphasis on precision, depth, and sound design.

SELN presents Celebrating New Industrial
At Ormside Projects [20.02.26]
23:00 - 05:00

SELN returns to Ormside for the first show of its 2026 event series Celebrating New Industrial. A celebration in the PUREST SENSE - international artists, local talent, and everything in between performing strong music LIVE.

Legendary Swedish duo SHXCXCHCXSH come in strong for their Ormside debut, showcasing their own brand of sonic finesse. Imagine the auditory answer to “create and destroy” and you might have something close. Having released on esteemed labels including Avian, Northern Electronic and most recently MORD, it is beyond a pleasure to welcome them for this London performance.

DJ Gonz will be brandishing his liveset prowess, which has been transmitted in European venues over the past several months. Hot on the heels of his debut SELN solo outing “Magical Negro Overdrive”, DJ Gonz’s focus on strong melodic riffs and heavy leading percussion creates a unique and driving musical experience.

Tresor and Sandwell District associate Sarah Wreath is sturdily placed within the vanguard of contemporary techno. With over two decades spent collecting electronic music alongside a DJ practice, her relationship with sound is the result of a long and patient craftsmanship rooted in vinyl, deep listening, and an intuitive understanding of atmosphere and flow.

LNR plays in the shadows. A freetek enthusiast, their sets present their closely studied collection of high bpm and rave-esq music. Testament to their sound, LNR is a regular performer at free party collective V23 in Belgium alongside Amsterdam’s Garage Noord where their sets showcase the hardcore and psychedelic spectrums, integrating technological rawness with dissociative coilz.

As always - NOT TO BE MISSED!

@selnrecordings

The driving front-runner to his debut solo outing on SELN, DJ Gonz’s “Who Do You Ride For” perfectly showcases the producer’s talents. A compact and highly functional cut, it manages to explore dissonant and emotional terrain whilst being simultaneously rooted within the artist’s own brand of techno.

BIG NEWS from the @selnrecordings HQ…

SELN Recordings presents: Celebrating New Industrial, a 2026 event series spanning the breadth of the UK and coming to a grassroots music venue NEAR YOU. It is indeed a celebration in the purest form - international artists, local talent, and everything in between performing strong music LIVE. And it doesn’t stop there, all events will be livestreamed [audio only] via celebratingnewindustrial.com

Industrial - a term so used over the past 50+ years it’s (fortunately) practically lost all meaning. Therefore, what better time to celebrate this wide-berth “definition” than now, and what better place than the United Kingdom (the home of misery, alongside numerous pioneers of the original “Industrial” tag).

There has been a steady stream of producers and artists of late who exist beyond the usual confines of music, creating something new within the realm of ritualistic, esoteric and “rhythm based” sound. This series aims to highlight these musical movements and associated artists, alongside giving credence to those whose sound has been foundational. Basically NEW BLOOD + THE DONS.

All events will have a limited number of free tickets available for those who are unwaged / on UC. Please email info@selnrecordings.com to reserve one.

First shows announced:
