Pierre Francois ‘Sillons’ is out today on SELN Recordings.

@arriereponcifs
@selnrecordings

Straight from Nantes with love and sadness; Sillons is the soundtrack to being shut inside and sheltered from all the dread beyond your bedroom door. What may at first appear as a collection of abstract loops unravels into something much greater throughout its entirety.

Underneath a thick atmosphere of tape hiss and crackle, minimal synth explorations emerge and float away while the occasional guitar-esq riff ebbs in and out of the foreground like waves at the shore. Percussive refrains come through with perfect timing, their occasional rudimentary timbre all in the spirit of ‘do it yourself magique’.

Even the shortest of songs manage to conjure up visceral imagery. For example ‘Abouile’, with an impressive runtime of 51 seconds, dives straight into the eeriest corners of a Cold-War era ‘Numbers Broadcast’ being sent out from malfunctioning military personnel venturing off into the depths of their own consciousness.

All in all there is something distinctly ambitious and positive within Francois’ work. It takes you to a place where little else matters except the mood and feeling the music provides, a hopeful and emotive landscape.

Sillons will is available as a limited edition cassette (edition of 60) and digital download.

A Fundraiser for Grady.

3WD and Formant Soundsystem are collaborating on a fundraiser for Grady, following a severe accident at the festival, which resulted in a seizure and a foot broken in several places. While he was in hospital, doctors also incidentally discovered a 6.5cm cyst on his brain. Because of the cyst and his post-traumatic brain injury, Grady is at high risk of further seizures and is still unable to walk without assistance.

100% of Grady’s income comes from events, whether that’s performing, organising, or sound engineering. Unfortunately, stress, lights, and sound are all triggers for further seizures, meaning he has been unable to work independently and will continue to be out of work for some time as he undergoes medical procedures.

This fundraiser will help to cover the costs of healthcare, physiotherapy, and living expenses. We are grateful for any and all donations.

Composer, promoter and DJ, Grady Steele is the co-founder of the travelling rig Formant Soundsystem and runs the event series GS Presents across Europe since 2023 — Both projects are responsible for providing space for forward-thinking dancefloors.

A huge thank you to Mike for letting us use Ormside for free for this fundraiser.

Donation tickets are available via the link on our bio now. There will be further means to donate on the night, as well as via an online fundraiser.

A true Bermondsey Triangle favourite, London producer, DJ, and visual artist DJ Gonz @pesoneto_ joins us at Ormside Projects for SBF 2026. Across his work, he constructs layered melodic refrains and kuduro-inspired drum programming. Held together by the conventions ‘the club’, he draws from an unlikely set of influences - free-tekno, dub and kuduro.

Live, Gonz translates this pensive, driving energy with raw synths and swirling percussion - dubbed out in real time to create heavy, physical body music.

Saturday 26th September
3pm - 7am

Tickets available via Resident Advisor.
