Its always a pleasure to DJ with my old friend @phildockerty we have been playing together for over 33 years now starting back in my home town Solihull in the early 90’s when we ran our own weekly events. We have run record labels together, a music blog, events in #ibiza and we presented a weekly radio show for many years too. The sun didn’t set properly last night as it was cloudy but the music was great and will be
on my Mixcloud page soon :) taken in Hostel La torre Restaurant by @petegooding

Sad to hear that legendary producer @williamorbit has passed away. His music was such an inspiration to me and heavily influenced the way I play music in Ibiza. I discovered songs like ‘Story Of Light’, ‘Water From A Vine leaf’ and ‘Best Friend Paranoia’ taken from his Strange Cargo album series after hearing Jose Padilla play them at sunset at Cafe Del Mar. I loved his ‘Pieces In A Modern Style’ classical album, Bass-O-Matic, his production for All Saints and Madonna and his influential Guerrilla Records label shaped the sound of Progressive House in the early 90’s. What an incredible musical legacy! He nearly came to play sunset with me at La Torre last summer but its wasn’t yo be. RIP X by @petegooding

30 years ago I arrived in Ibiza with a passion for music and about 10 record boxes with no idea where the journey would lead me. Big thanks to @alan.warman for inducting me into the @ibizahalloffame and to @clara_g_dj for interviewing me. I’m very grateful to be recognized alongside people who shaped the island’s musical history. Always thankful to @javiermamboking @mambobrothers for trusting me to play thousands of sunsets at @mamboibiza and @latorreibiza its always a pleasure to do what you love and to my old mate @djstevelawler for pushing to get me the job almost 30 years ago to the day. by @petegooding

Pete Gooding remembers falling in love with Ibiza after first visiting on a family holiday in 1987 aged just 13 and being fascinated by the music choices of DJ Lolo, the Tanit Hotel’s resident DJ, which included an early Sven Väth record from 1986. He also recalls being inspired by Alfredo at Amnesia on annual family trips to the island and when he and his school friend Steve Lawler discovered Café Mambo in 1994 - and the surprise phone call from Steve letting him know he had the residency that would define the next three decades of his Ibiza career.
