majority ruled 🥹

The cast and team of MJR NYC are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and getting to share a stage with these castmates, who became real friends so fast, meant everything. Y’all took me in with open arms and made the city feel like home so quick.

To the family friends who opened their homes and helped me find housing: this whole operation couldn’t have happened without you.

And to my friends and family who were my support system from afar, know that I was thinking of you every time I got to step on stage.

I learned so much about myself, my goals, and my values this month, and I’ll forever cherish it.

For now, I’m heading back to Cornell to keep chasing my BA in Performing & Media Arts (unless Broadway comes calling, of course).

Much love,
Peter taken in New York City by @peterdbuskirk

alpha alpha alpha’s newest pledge 🇺🇸🦅🎸

I’m so stoked to share that I’ll be making my professional debut this August as Pledge Peter in @majorityrulesmusical at the Chain Theatre in NYC.

When I saw my first Broadway show in seventh grade, I knew instantly that I wanted to perform on stage. Now that I’m getting the opportunity, little Peter can’t contain his excitement!

“the art of being alone”
a short by peter buskirk

yesterday, i shot my first short film.

the best part about it? i didn’t script or plan a single part before shooting. i just pulled out my phone, and let each shot guide the story as i filmed.

i learned an important lesson about trusting your instincts and capitalizing on creative inspiration, and i’m really happy with how my very first project turned out.

hope you enjoy :)

not to be dramatic or anything like that…

had an absolute blast making my collegiate theatre debut alongside the other Melodramatics in our production of Urinetown: The Musical. I grew so much as a performer over the past 15 weeks and I am immensely grateful to my cast and crew mates for making this such an enjoyable experience. Coming into college as an athlete, I had come to the unfortunate conclusion that I had to give up my love for theatre and performing. Luckily, I’ve found the space and place to do both, and I couldn’t be more excited! To many more shows, and happy pastures to our graduating friends 🫶 taken in Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts, Cornell University by @peterdbuskirk
