Some anniversaries are better counted in months.

This year, Riotvan turns 240 months old. Fountain turns 36. Two party projects born in different cities, at different times, but with a shared belief in keeping things independent, curious and a little left of center.

So for our Shanghai gathering at Wigwam, we’re celebrating both.

At the center of the night is @peterinvasion, who founded Riotvan in Leipzig in 2006, initially as an underground party series before developing it into a label alongside @panthera_krause Over the following two decades, Peter Invasion became a fixture of East Germany’s electronic underground, including a period as booker at Leipzig’s much-loved Institut fuer Zukunft.
His long-running collaboration with Gregor Habicht extends that approach into the studio, with more than 20 releases across Correspondant, Live at Robert Johnson, AEON, Playground Records and Riotvan itself.

For this particular birthday exchange, two label heads are joined by Shanghai’s @lianyi_sound @caiiiimei 🐸

As you’ve probably already noticed, we’re celebrating something very special this year: 240 months of Riotvan. And 240 months means countless familiar faces along the way. So what better way to celebrate than with a special compilation of our Familiar Faces series? Coming this Friday. taken in Leipzig, Germany by @peterinvasion

A little love letter to Copenhagen 💌 And especially to the two cuties next to me. What an absolutely beautiful weekend last week was… I’m still floating somewhere in it. I was looking forward to it like a little kid waiting for Christmas, while my bestie @seksylazer had every second perfectly planned, with surprises around every corner. I really love this man. And @kasperbjorke_official. We realized we first met back in 2010, when I invited him to Leipzig. 16 fckng years. And still feels like yesterday. Thank you for all the beautiful new encounters and the old connections that still feel just as special. Some weekends stay with you a little longer. This one definitely will.. 240 months of Riotvan — and counting 🎈 by @peterinvasion

240 Months of Riotvan? Yep, you heard that right… You can do the math yourselves 🎂 And this is only the kick-off. There are plenty more stops and special moments to come as we celebrate 240 months of Riotvan in style. And we couldn’t imagine a better place to start than Copenhagen, together with our longtime friends and companions on the journey. Daytime open air at the beautiful @byhavencopenhagen. Come through. The bubbles are already on ice 🥂 taken in Copenhagen, Dennmark by @peterinvasion

@panthera_krause is back on Riotvan. Finally. After digging through what felt like 200 unreleased tracks, we picked four special ones and pressed them onto golden wax. Wild. Unexpected. Emotional. Different. Every track carries Panthera’s unmistakable signature. And bc apparently we don’t know how to keep things simple, we also made a custom sticker sheet and had the brilliant idea of hand-stickering every single record ourselves 🐶 Huge thanks to @shubostar for helping out!

If you want to do the sticking yourself, I’ll happily send you a blank sleeve with the sticker set. Send me a DM and I’ll ship one your way. Si Yes Da! taken in Muting The Noise by @peterinvasion
