Laced up the Reebok x Romantic Crown CL Legacy today for some #boktober fun. I really like what they did with this. That mix of cream ripstop, burgundy leather, and navy suede is just so clean. They’re also surprisingly comfy; the midsole is firm but sufficiently cushioned and pretty lightweight. It’s a low-key collab, but a total sleeper, imho.

Sliding into #Boktober with the Reebok Aztrek in “Urban Violet.”

Reissued back in 2018 to relatively little fanfare, this remains one of my favorite silhouettes. Originally debuting in 1993, it was designed by Christian Tresser, the same guy who did the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon and Air Max 97.

Built as an off-road trail runner, the Aztrek offers incredible stability, firm yet generous Hexalite cushioning, and top-tier comfort.

It is without a doubt a slept-on 90s classic that absolutely deserves way more appreciation.

A good sneaker is a good sneaker, even if it was overlooked and under appreciated. That’s exactly the case with this Fila Renno; great design, quality materials, excellent color blocking, crazy comfortable too, but very few people noticed. I’m glad I did though; this remains to be one of the “hidden gems” in my collection. Fila needs to bring these back.

It was really nice to see the sun out after over two weeks of rain. I felt a little bit optimistic so I decided to lace up the brighter colorway from the @hummelsport x @mitasneakers Marathona pack, designed by @shigeyuki_kunii.

There’s something I find incredibly appealing about things that fly under the radar, much like this Hummel x @mitasneakers Marathona. Designed by @shigeyuki_kunii himself and reportedly limited to only 200 pairs, I can’t help but think these are special, even if nobody else thinks so. I paired it with the less often seen Casio F-84W, the JDM brother of the ubiquitous F-91W; it just felt like a good match.

Here’s another pair I used to wear quite often, the adidas Consortium x End x Bodega Haven. They’re understated enough to wear with most business casual fits so they became a regular office shoe for me.

I haven’t worn them in too long though so I decided to dig them out of storage and give them a good clean. I think they still look pretty damn good for a nine year old sneaker. Lovely materials and amazing little details on ‘em too; the patchwork denim three stripes being my favorite. Man, the Consortium Sneaker Exchange era really pumped out so many awesome sneakers. Good times. I kinda miss ‘em. How ‘bout you?
