This month’s IDIDTHAT.co Craft Awards are in! With Roanna Williams, Chief Creative Officer at Boundless and Xander Vander, Editor at Strangelove at the helm, the bar was set high. The top duo who stole the spotlight this month for their work on Chicken Licken is director, Peter Pohorsky from Plank, for Direction and Werner Maritz for Cinematography. Bravo, team!

Modise Motaung – Number one on the call sheet. Aaah mpitji yam, you owned it. 👊🏽
The Tshephos – Sharp as ever. You keep raising the bar.
Di Cole – Wouldn’t have happened without your encouragement.
Werner Maritz – Simple. Unfiltered. Handheld chopper vibes. Nailed it.
Sandra Smit – Two records: longest wardrobe call (chakalaka morris) and easiest wardrobe call. Nailed it.
Xander – Cut through my ramblings and made something clean—with a dissolve nogal.
Marco – “You don’t need motion control.” Turns out, you were right.
Terry – “Don’t make it look graded.” “Cool, I’ve got an idea…”

And to the crew—no coffee, ropey craft table, brutal conditions—you hustled. Respect.

Pressure Cooker — You made it feel like a film. A story. But still a cheeky ad for Hotwings.

Finally...Seamus Bax — This is what happens when no one says, “maybe don’t.”
