Some extra shots from Boulderfest a couple of weeks back! by @petertnk

Birthday trip to the beautiful country of Colombia was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. Coming home with dozens of mosquito bites, core memories, and $400 down the drain for missing my last flight, but I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. ❤️ by @petertnk

As promised, here’s the food hack! ⤵️

I’ve been going to @tacotimenw since I was a kid (lived right next to the first ever location in White Center) and this has always been my go-to order. It’s not on the menu, but you can customize your own Mexi-Fry nachos by 1) ordering a large Mexi-Fries and 2) adding all your favorite toppings!

Mine came out to about $7 and was more than enough to fill me up. The crispy burrito was great, but for a couple bucks more, the totchos are way more bang for your buck.

One of Seattle’s best happy hour spots! The focaccia at @darkalinos was so good I could’ve inhaled two orders myself. The $8 Caesar is a steal for the portion, and Uncle Johnny’s sauce was more flavorful for me than the vodka. Meatballs were a bit small for my appetite, so I’d suggest their other meat options.

Open: 11am-8pm Daily
Happy Hour: 2-5pm Daily (even on weekends!)

Failed this problem numerous times. Came back a month later and somehow pulled this off. Maybe giving your mind and body a break from the problem unlocks something.

@japonessaseattle has been a favorite of mine for years, and this trip back reminded me why. The cocktails were delicious, the edamame came out steaming hot, and the rolls (especially the Diabla Say) were spectacular. Will definitely be back to check out their happy hour!

(Note that HH is only offered in their sushi bar and bar lounge area from open to 5:30pm, with late-night happy hour from 9pm to close.)

Open:
- Sun: 12-10pm
- Mon-Thurs: 11:30am-10pm
- Fri: 11:30am-11pm
- Sat: 12-11pm

Sketchy side-pulls are so spooky.

I used to get so much performance anxiety climbing in front of a crowd. Over time, it’s gotten easier. More often than not, people are cheering you on, not judging you, and that’s one of the things I love most about the climbing community.

Wow! Thoroughly impressed with @pst.seattle (the speakeasy upstairs from Pho Bac in downtown Seattle).

Both the food and drinks are a proper nod to traditional Vietnamese flavors. I could honestly inhale a bucket of the tamarind ice (I grew up eating the candy!). The crab nachos were my standout, but honestly, EVERYTHING was divine. You can’t go wrong here and I can’t wait to come back to try everything else.

Good to know: no reservations, but you can join the in-person waitlist once you’re inside. Also a very cute spot for date night.

Open:
- Mon-Thurs: 4-11pm
- Fri-Sat: 4pm-midnight
- Sun: Closed
