Some snapshots of the Listening Party!!

Celebrating the release of Snapshots and Serenades with so many people we love made for a night we will never forget! We’ve spent SO much time with this album over the past few years. Getting to finally sit down (well… stand for the most part) together and listen to it with a room full of people was surreal.
We’re so grateful this music is out in the world and that you’re listening to it!!

If you haven’t heard it yet, Snapshots and Serenades is streaming everywhere and available for digital download + physical CD.

Thank you x infinity!

Many thanks to video artist Kakia Gkoudina! Track 4, stillness to…….., was originally released as a video featuring Kakia's video art, and all of the artwork for Snapshots and Serenades comes from that video. Peter did a beautiful job designing the album around these stills.

Thank you to New Focus Recordings for partnering with us and helping us bring Snapshots and Serenades into the world. It is so so so cool that our music is now part of your catalog!

And finally, to our friends, family, donors, presenters, collaborators, fellow artists, and everyone who has supported Sputter Box over the years, thank you.

🎶Snapshots and Serenades, Sputter Box’s debut album 🎶

Out September 18 on New Focus Recordings

We’re so excited to share this music with you. This album has been a long time in the making, growing out of years of collaboration and exploration.

Some of these pieces were written in collaboration with us, others we’ve grown with over time, but all of them have become part of our sound. Snapshots and Serenades moves through shifting textures, storytelling, and moments that feel almost fragile alongside ones that are a little unhinged.

To our artistic collaborators, thank you for music that challenges and excites us: Martha Callison Horst, Allison McIntosh, Filippo Scaramucci, Daijana Wallace & Kakia Gkoudina, Bethany Younge, and Brendan Sweeney.

And to Mike Tierney, for capturing all of it with such care and expertise, thank you!

So much more soon, so excited to share! Link in bioooo!

Check out this phenomenal recording of Alejandro Vinao's "Water". The piece is stunning, yet devilishly challenging, and I am extremely proud of the incredible Frost team behind the entire project. Today we release the video of Movement 3. Enjoy and stay tuned for Movements 1+2...! Audio is available on all platforms.
