Right after shelter in place started, I was trying to capture the light and all of the yellow flowers that were blooming in the East Bay Hills. I couldn't put my finger on what was so strange about the light, but honestly, I guess it was that I was not used to being able to ride during the middle of the day. I went searching for gravel, and found it. After a new set of amazing wheels and a full tune up thanks to @oaklandservicecourse and carbon repair work thanks to @montenegro_mfg, my Ritte is more fun to ride than ever before. This poor bike went through hell (bad crash, not sure who fared worse, to be honest) but we're both good now.
That said, I'm slowly getting a list together of must haves for a proper gravel and bikepacking bike. The Ritte can't be loaded down or take 650b rims, so I'm daydreaming a bit. What's on your bikepacking rig?
