As a 501 c (3) nonprofit, your membership and donations make all the difference, fueling the work of our chapter which is wholly manned by volunteers whom we are so grateful to. At this time when our #LGBTQ+ community and loved ones are under attack, join our efforts to be on the right side of history!

Membership runs from Oct to Sept the following year (#linkinbio or scan QR code) and here are its benefits,

1. Support our work of advocacy, education and support to the LGBTQ+ community and their loved ones
2. This is an opportunity to give back
3. Gain access to PFLAG National’s Members only resources portal with multiple resources and take action sections
4. Sustainers can be thanked publicly if they so choose to be
5. Part of the membership fee aids locally and part helps with PFLAG National’s efforts to create a just, inclusive world for the LGBTQ+ community nationally

We were delighted to table this morning at @srvef’s “Run for Education” with Krista, Jamie, John and Taylor!

This was the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation’s 43rd Run for Education with people walking, running or joining virtually with friends, family, neighbors, teammates, and colleagues in support of our schools at @srvusdschools. It was fun to join more than 50 exhibitors with information on our advocacy, education and support of the LGBTQ+ community, their loved ones and families in the community.

💕🌈We were delighted to be at the PFLAG Regional Conference, “Love Out Loud” yesterday, with our amazing PFLAG NorCal and Nevada Chapters.

Anu Gupta @anew_gupta, from our Chapter spoke captivatingly with the incredible and brilliant Amaya and Lucy from @pflagfremont on “How to grow a diverse Chapter; Stories from the Asian-American Ethnoburbs”. Thank you, Krista and Elizabeth for attending the Summit, and Jamie and others for attending online.

Thank you to Drew, @pflag_fresno, our Regional Director for pulling off our first Regional Conference with @pflagsf’s @robertcostic, @_natemueller and Sandy - you all literally brought the National Conference to us with so many amazing sessions, opportunities to learn, interact with PFLAG chapters and other LGBTQ+ supporting organizations, and to network. Thank you! 💕

Thank you to Nadine for a moving land acknowledgement. We really enjoyed attending @rkenanarun’s session on the @lgbtasylumproject, Veronica, @pflagoeb’s session on Safety, Lainie, @pflag_trivalley and Jessica, @pflagsjp’s session on School Board Advocacy and many others. (We admit we had to adapt a few photos from previous occasions :), we were so bedazzled).

We were glad to participate in a DEIB Panel at Leadership San Ramon Valley’s Training “Healthy Communities Day” yesterday. @leadershipsanramonvalley

The panel was moderated by Jessica Coulson, Coordinator, Educational Services,
San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Our Chapter Leaders, Taylor @denbroedert and Anu @anew_gupta were panelists along with Andy Li, @andy_li_trustee, Principal @demetriusaball and Vanessa @vanyrocab.

We are glad to participate in this annual training and bring our perspectives of inclusion to this rich conversation. Thank you @kathychiv, @rachel_ms_hurd and Christine Odegard for organizing and facilitating these sessions.

Lace up for the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation Run for Education! We will be tabling there!

👟The 43rd Annual Run for Education returns on Sunday, October 11.

This long-standing community tradition features a 5K, 10K, new 1.5 Mile, Mini Run, Friendship Run, and an expo at Iron Horse Middle School (12601 Alcosta Blvd).

Proceeds directly benefit local public schools, funding vital programs and resources. Join us in supporting education while participating in a day that brings our community together.

This Saturday, October 10th, PFLAG families and allies from across the Mid-Pacific region meet at Skyline College in San Bruno for Love Out Loud, our regional summit. 🏳️‍🌈 We are thrilled our dear friend, @rkenanarun, ED @lgbtasylumproject will be speaking on standing up for LGBT Asylum seekers!

Here’s the session lineup:

→ Advancing PFLAG’s Mission Through Mental Health Partnership, with the Yale LGBTQ Mental Health Initiative
→ How to Grow a Diverse Chapter: Stories from the Asian-American Ethnoburbs
→ Standing Up for LGBTQ+ Asylum Seekers, with The LGBT Asylum Project
→ Safety First: Exploring Chapter Safety Planning
→ State Legislative Advocacy, 2026 Advocacy Activities, and Ideas for Improvement
→ Loving Our Inner Children Out Loud, a guided meditation workshop
→ Speaking Truth to Power and Building Bridges Within Local School Districts

We also have some incredible sessions from leaders in the community across partner organizations. A lot of our sessions are led by PFLAG chapter leaders who have done this work in their own communities, from school board meetings to reaching families outside their usual circles.
