Those who know me, know the fact that my birthday is a huge deal for me.. ( like any other girl) and on this day usually I am surrounded by people who love me and leave no stone unturned to make the day look like a festival.. This time with new place I knew I won't have anyone so this is what I gifted myself with... a long due "zindagi na milegi dubara" dream... 04-08-2019 Happy 29th Phalk Jindal..šŸŽ‰šŸŽŠ taken in Prague, Czech Republic by @phalkjindal

To anyone facing hard times, hold on—this, too, shall pass.

I still remember that day vividly. I was 16, sitting beside my father who had just left this world, surrounded by whispers. People murmured, How will these children survive? How will their mother manage? She was only 38, and none of us knew what the next day would hold. We didn’t have the chance to grieve; survival became our only focus. Would we have food tomorrow? A roof over our heads?

But life has a way of guiding us, even through the darkest times. Fast forward to today, and here I am, welcoming my family to the Netherlands—a dream I didn’t even know was possible—and celebrating my graduation.

So if you’re walking through fire, keep going. It gets better. It always does. taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @phalkjindal

ā€œA journey far beyond booksā€¦ā€

My MBA journey was never just about the lectures, the grades, or even the degree itself. It became something much deeper—an intense process of self-discovery. It made me pause, reflect, and ask myself: What do I truly want from life? It became about uncovering my own goals and redefining what success means to me.

Along the way, I learned one of the most important lessons—authenticity. For years, I wore the mask of an extrovert, trying to fit into the world around me, hiding the introvert I truly am. It was a defense mechanism, a way to protect myself. But during this journey, I finally allowed myself to be seen. I learned that it’s okay to be quiet, to seek stillness, and to follow my own path.

I dream of a life where I can work from the mountains, with nothing but the sound of a river flowing nearby. A place where ambition meets serenity, where I can strive for greatness but also embrace the beauty of letting things go.

To everyone who believed in me, supported me, and stood by my side through this transformative experience—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love and encouragement made this journey possible. I carry you with me as I move forward, ready for whatever comes next. šŸ™šŸ’«

Thank you mummy, Gagi, @hjoshi ( this journey was impossible without you my friend), @muktayadavmy (Didi, i needed you and you were there) taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @phalkjindal

One of the most beautiful place I have been to !

Azores, you were soooo good to us ! šŸ’š

Lakes, flowers everywhere, hot springs, tea plantations, liqueur factory, Pastry factory, pineapple plantations, so much green, magical sky, whales, dolphins, stunning clouds and stopping every five minutes because ā€œyaar look at this view!ā€ šŸ˜‚

A few days with my girl @shobhita14 after 7 years, lots of laughing and days we will talk about for many more years !

Packing this one with so much love to be hand-delivered to Germany! šŸ¤

ā€œChasing Herselfā€ is for all those women who have no hero to look up to, so they look ahead instead, at themselves, five years from now.

For me, the light in this painting is her. That future version of herself she keeps moving towards, even when she hasn’t figured out the whole way yet.

Her own hero. And she is chasing herself! ✨

25th country — Portugal šŸ‡µšŸ‡¹

And somehow the Azores felt like a trip within a trip.
Wild, green, volcanic and so different from anywhere else I’ve been šŸ’™

Our lady of peace church !

View after climbing those 100 stairs

Me and Shobhita - we had been planning a trip since 2020
We had booked turkey ( i have been there but didnt mind going again) but thanks to Covid, we never made it

Finally we managed ! New country though

Where they cook the food

In Furnas, pots of Cozido das Furnas are buried underground and slowly cooked for hours using the island’s natural geothermal heat.

The boilers / Caldeiras

Nearby, hot water, steam and volcanic gases rise naturally from underground — making the earth literally bubble and boil.

Wanted to capture myself with this !

Terra Nostra Thermal Pool

A huge geothermal pool filled with naturally warm, iron-rich volcanic water — around 35–40°C. The orange-brown colour comes from the minerals in the water.

Post-spa evidence:

They said the thermal water makes you look 10 years younger.
I chose to believe them. šŸ˜‚

Gorreana Tea Plantation, São Miguel

I’ve seen beautiful tea gardens in Himachal before, but this one felt special in a completely different way, tea fields on a volcanic island in the middle of the Atlantic. šŸ’š

And then inside the factory, such an unexpected India connection, some of the old tea machinery still carries plates naming Begg Dunlop & Co. Calcutta, as the agents for British India.

One of my favourite little details about São Miguel, these pink Amaryllis belladonna flowers were literally everywhere.

Along the roads, on the hills, beside the viewpoints… the whole island had these random pops of pink. šŸ’—

Hadd to click a picture with them and the ocean

One of the best view points !

I think I will paint this !

Also - Whale and Dolphin watching!

We did spot

Sperm Whale

So manyyyyy Dolphins

And a whale with her calf! It was cute!

I’ve always painted flowers in pinks, reds, oranges, blues

So choosing a white lily felt a little scary.

Because white looks simple… but it really isn’t.
It has softness, shadows, warmth, depth !

But I still wanted to try.

So here it is, work in progress of this beautiful white lily šŸ¤

There’s something so special about lilies to me.
They’re big, graceful, quiet and still impossible to ignore.

They don’t need loud colours to stand out.

They shine all on their own.

And maybe that’s what I loved most while painting this one. šŸ¤ taken in Hoofddorp, Netherlands by @phalkjindal

There are so many reasons I look forward to varnishing a painting ✨

1. It brings the colours alive and adds that beautiful shine.
2. It protects the painting.
3. And the smell… I absolutely love the smell of varnish. šŸ˜‚

Finally, this one is varnished and ready to be hand-delivered to Germany. šŸ‡©šŸ‡Ŗ

This painting was inspired by a real photograph taken by a dear colleague during one of her morning runs in Greece. There was something about that moment, the light, the movement, the feeling of running towards something, that stayed with me.

I’m calling this one ā€œChasing Herself.ā€ šŸ’™

I especially like the title because it makes the painting feel like more than just a Greek landscape. It gives it a little story. taken in Hoofddorp, Netherlands by @phalkjindal

Moving from flowers to landscapes has been so much fun! šŸŽØ

Flowers will always be a part of what I paint, but creating landscapes from views I’ve actually seen and experienced has been something completely different — and I’m really enjoying it.

My phone is now full of endless pictures waiting to become paintings, so I think I know what I’ll be busy with for the next few months. šŸ¤ taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @phalkjindal
