I would buy time to live 2024 again. Through God’s grace and sovereign love and with the love of my life and loved ones always by my side, I learned the most that I have about myself this past year. I have boundaries that can be pushed and not, and there is potential in myself left untapped in which 2025 seems like the magic year to test. Cheers to 2025!

I am so incredibly grateful and excited to share a glimpse of literally the best day of my life in 2024 - the day I married my best friend and super hero, @ray.mondjohn! Thank you to every single invaluable player involved in making October 4th so unforgettable, especially our family and friends who traveled near and far to celebrate with us!

A little over one month of just you, me, Appa, and Homi. A month that somehow felt both endless and impossibly short.

Already, you’re showing us who you are—steady, strong-willed, and wonderfully your own.

Appa and I pray we become the parents you deserve. Not perfect, but present. Not fearless, but always brave enough to love you well. We can’t wait to watch you grow into yourself and to walk beside you as you discover the world.

Happy one month, our sweetest Autumn. We celebrated you with @phillystylebagels because you spent nine months in my tummy making me crave them.

Life feels especially tender knowing that in just a few short weeks, our days will change as we welcome a new little love into our family. We’ve spent so many seasons moving fast, solving problems, and making sacrifices — and in these next few weeks, I hope we can be fully present with and for each other.

This is the final stretch of just me, Ray, and our sweet pup Homi — and I’m so grateful for it. The quiet mornings filled with sunrise pep talks before busy days, the long talks over takeout (because we can never seem to find time to cook), and the dream talks of trips we want to take to see parts of the world we wouldn’t want to experience without each other.

I’ll always cherish the way we’ve moved to the rhythm of our love, just the three of us — but I know an even deeper kind of sweetness is on its way. You’re going to be the most incredible girl dad, Ray. And she’ll be so proud to have you as her Appa.

I can live forever as long as I love and am loved by you.

Since meeting you, I have inadvertently shown you all of my flaws, vulnerabilities, and an ounce of every single thing that causes me to lose faith in myself as a leader, daughter, little sister, friend, and partner to you. And you have seen my imperfections clearly, loudly and embarrassingly too often these past two years, especially. Leading our absolutely talented and incomparable team at Càphê, in the most empathetic and humble ways that I have learned so well from you, is something I’ll never become an expert in, but your faith in me continues to keep me grounded and trust the process. I’ll become a better bà chủ‎ and chị to them one day.

Ray - you know this well. The unending unpredictable but, predictable fires and uphill challenges of operating a restaurant continues to test, retest, and pop quiz my resilience and blur my purpose, our team’s purpose, in starting Càphê, and my inability to overcome those fires puts me in the most calamitous and restless state of mind. I wanted to give up on so many days. I wanted to give up so deeply and badly that I would be numb to everyone and every thing that truly mattered to me. And in those times, I brought out the worst in me, and you saw the worst in me. There were countless nights when I ran away from myself and wrongly - you. You undeservingly became the victim to all of my frustrations and insecurities, but you kindly and patiently challenged me to return to our purpose - my purpose.

You always remind me that there’s so much and unimaginably more to be grateful for and to celebrate, and there are only more fires of varying sizes to blow out because that is what happens when running a business with a true, strong mission. My best friend, my sister. I grew up with her, shared many meals with her, graciously taken many hand me downs from her, had too many drinks with her, traveled new cities with her, laughed with her, cried with her... is 30 now. And she’s getting married next week. I’m feeling emotional - don’t stop me. 😭
