There are moments in life that feel impossible to capture in words, and yesterday was one of them.

At just 25 years old, I had the incredible honour of returning to my primary school, Rio Claro Presbyterian, as the featured guest speaker for their graduation ceremony, centred around the theme “I’m Unstoppable!”

Walking the same halls where my educational journey first began, then standing before the next generation of students, was a truly full-circle moment.

Even more special was reconnecting with the teachers who played such a pivotal role in shaping my curiosity, resilience, and love for learning. Their encouragement all those years ago helped lay the foundation for the path I walk today, and I will always be grateful for the impact they had on my life.

This occasion was made even more meaningful knowing that my parents were there to witness it. They have been my greatest supporters from the very beginning, and sharing this milestone with them was something I’ll always treasure.

It was also incredibly special to see the KAK Ramjarrie Award, an award my two sisters and I established to recognise and encourage students, continue to be part of the graduation ceremony. To witness that legacy alongside returning as the guest speaker made the day even more profound.

To be invited back, not as a student, but as someone entrusted to encourage young minds, was deeply humbling. I hope each student left knowing that dreams are worth pursuing, obstacles are meant to be overcome, and that being “unstoppable” isn’t about never facing challenges, but about choosing to keep going despite them.

Thank you to my wonderful school for this unforgettable honour. Yesterday reminded me that every journey begins somewhere, and sometimes the greatest privilege is returning to where it all started.
