The little beetle/bug page.

Not sure what I was going with here. I was just going to do the whole page in this back/dark grey but decided to add some colour to it. I then shaded around each bug for some depth and to kinda make them stand out? Then I added some colirio over the top for that extra shine ✨✨

Inklings by Johanna Basford 💕

I decided to start on this page and initially wanted to do sparkling water. So I added lots of white dots and I think I managed that. I used my kuretake brush pens to create the water 💦

I used my polychromos pencils and some colirio watercolour paints to add some extra sparkle ✨✨

It was a very sunny day so I decided to take a photo outside...it always rains here so I thought I'd take the opportunity to get a photo 😂😬

I'm really happy with how the page came out. It did transfer a little on the back but nothing that can't be fixed with distress ink or acrylic pens. I think that was more my fault as I'm not really familiar with these pens. Definitely will be practicing more with them.

I decided to to do this page next in inklings. I was going to add extra details for Halloween but decided against it.... I'm patiently waiting for Hanna Karlzons Halloween book to arrive 🩷

I used my polychromos pencils and did the night school with my arrtx acrylic pens and the sprayed over holographic spray for some extra sparkle ✨✨

I did this quick little page while attempting to rearrange my room around, put together furniture and do some more painting 😂😬
I'm happy how this one came out and it was just a small page so no big background, just some simple little dots around the picture and done ✅

I wanted to try another page with water and went with this this stencil. I used my arrtx acrylic pens to colour them. I like how it turned out and of course I sprayed some ink over the top of the page for that extra sparkle ✨💖

My next page in inklings and I chose to do this with the stingray. I also wanted to use a stencil for the water and see how it would go. Don't get me wrong, that stencil was confusing me where I should colour it 😂😂 but I got there in the end.

I decided to do the opposite page with the same colours. I do like the palette and how the page came out, even the water 🌊😂😬

Luna by Maria Trolle

I did another buddy colour with @liliancoloring and we chose this page to do. I started off using distress inks for the background and decided to sprinkle some water over the top. Well, that turned out to be a mistake because the paper didn't agree and buckled alot. The water also lightened the distress inks as well 😐😂 not happy with this page at all. But live and learn I guess 😬

Luna by Maria Trolle

I did another page in Luna by Maria Trolle and I am absolutely loving these pages. I decided on the opposite page. For this page, I decided on a limited palette of blues, pinks and purples. Love how this one came out. I then used distress oxide over the top and some coliro watercolors as well 🌷

I thought I'd jump into another page and this portrait page was the one 🩷
I used my prismacolours for the background and after the page was finished I used my colirio watercolour to go over the top.
There are some lovely pages in this book. Can't wait to do more 💕💕

I started this page in Luna as I realized I haven't done a page in this book yet and was suddenly drawn to this page.I tried to do a magical garden with different colours and I think I achieved that. I used distress ink in the background and then went in with prismacolours over the top.
I am very happy with how this page came out. I then used my colirio watercolour paints to sprinkle over the top. Hope you like it 🩷🌷

Moon Valley by Maria Trolle 🌙

It's been a while since I've done a page in one of my fave books from @maria_trolle and so I decided to do this page. At first, I had no idea what to do with the background, so just decided to use my arrtx acrylic pens for that. I used a limited palette of reds, browns and orange. I then sprayed some white distress ink over the top of the page. Swipe ➡️ to see a closer look at her face. I think this spray would be quite good when doing snow 🤍🤍
