Nice time at The Philadelphia Sketch Club’s 162nd Small Oils Exhibition today in Philly. My oil painting, “Seashell Motel,” placed 2nd in the show, and “Pink Cadillac Diner” was also exhibited. Happy to show in Philly and connect with some new artists. Thank you juror Matt DeProspero - regarding “Seashell Motel,” “I just loved the overall feel of this painting, with so much going on in a small space and many different sources of light. I can feel the thickness of the air and the descending nighttime of an overcast day. The severe cropping and slant of the scene piqued my interest and made me want to spend more time looking.”

SCREENING, THE THIRD, IN THE BOOKS! Thank you to all who turned out. This was the most engaging audience we had (and that's saying something, because y'all have always had a lot of thoughts on the film). Super huge thank you to the Philadelphia Sketch Club for having us. We're glad to be part of Philly art history now. In the meantime, keep an eye out for details on our September showing 📽
