It's hard to believe that our last in-person event was 2 years ago. But what an incredible event it was with Scott Kettner and Nation Beat!

Hopefully we will be gathering together again soon, but in the meantime your Philly Drum Project Steering Committee is hard at work putting together another amazing virtual event for later this month. Check back soon for details!

We're so excited to announce our next virtual Open Drum event on Tues. 7/13 from 7:30-9:30 EST! Open Drums are always so much fun as we all get to learn from & hang with other musicians, it's an open mic night for drummers. You can share anything you'd like - a beat you're working on, a fun drum or tour story, show off your latest solo, whatever!

Sign up to present via link in bio, or just come hang with us and watch!

Many thanks to the amazing Sarah Thawer for her incredibly inspiring and generous clinic on Tuesday night! She spoke of choosing to be brave and exploring the emotional and vulnerable aspects of drumming and artistry while maintaining the technical and traditional needs of the music. Her perspective is so deeply rich and refreshing as she brilliantly incorporates the traditions she was raised in with the cutting edge of drum set playing and expression.

We are excited to share the link to the full video in our bio.
