I know it’s March now, but I spent this past Black History Month studying instead of posting. Really sitting with what being BLACK means to me… what our culture feels like… what it’s given me… and where I want my work to go next. Somewhere in that process, I found myself thinking about the women who shaped so much of that feeling.

Women’s History Month feels right for this one. I went back to Mama’s Gun. Started deep diving into the album… the sound, the writing, the visuals from that era. That’s what led me to revisiting the “Bag Lady” video.

This shoot came from that space.... Studying through creating & paying homage in my own language.

All love and respect.
