DENIM QUEENS
08.31.26

Denim has never just been fabric.

It has lived alongside Black history — through labor, protest, rebellion, culture and style. Worn out of necessity, reclaimed through expression, and reinvented generation after generation.

Denim Queens is a reflection of that history and the women who continue to make something their own out of what was handed to them.

Strong. Adaptable. Unapologetic.

A fabric built to endure, worn by people who always have.

This appreciation needed its own post!!! Its a very special thing to be able to have vision and then see that vision come to life. Its a WHOLE other thing to be able to translate that vision in a way that others can grab onto.

@frxd.o and @phlxmedia have been doing just that for us!! Their ability to catch vision and present it visually without anything being missed or being compromised is absolutely otherworldly!

We want to publicly say thank you for being such a valuable asset to the team!! We love and appreciate you for all that you do!!

OH MY GOD…

I told him don’t get in the water.
Apparently… he had other plans.
So I grabbed my camera and started shooting.
Do I charge for the wardrobe…
or did we get the shot?

“NO MODEL. NO PROBLEM.”

The model stood me up.

My assistant stepped in.

Red gels on the strip boxes.
Black V-flats to kill the spill.
Beauty dish to carve the face.
Snoot locked onto the jawline.

No backup plan.
Just light, instinct, and execution.

Sometimes the plan changes… but the vision doesn’t.
