POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today is a proud moment.

SOBERX is officially live, on the App Store and on Google Play, the two largest app stores in the world.

7.5 months ago I was still fighting for my sobriety. Today I’ve built something that didn’t exist when I needed it most: a recovery app for people whose brains work like mine. ADHD and addiction, together, not separately.

HAL is in there at three in the morning, when nothing else is open. Craving tools built to work with your brain instead of against it.

It’s free. No ads, no paywall, every feature, for everyone. That was never up for negotiation.

I didn’t build this because I had it figured out. I built it because I was still figuring it out.

If this is for you, or someone you love, go find it.

Track: Where The Light Gets In, out on Ascend Friday. (PHNX Lex)

I was sitting alone at 3am fighting a craving. There was nobody to call. So I built the app I wish existed.

SOBERX: a recovery toolkit built by someone in recovery. AI companion, sobriety counter, crisis SOS, brain healing science. All free right now.

If you’re fighting tonight, this is for you. 💙

The recovery app I’ve been building for months is here 🤍

SOBERX is a sobriety and addiction recovery toolkit built by someone in recovery - for people in recovery.

Live sobriety counter. AI recovery companion HAL 2.0. Daily mood tracking. Nightly inventory. Journalling. Community feed. Meditation. Crisis SOS. And a brain healing timeline that shows you exactly what’s happening inside your body every single day you stay sober.

We’ve opened up beta testing before launch. Within 24 hours, it should be downloadable on the App Store. Please download it. Use it. Break it. Tell me what you love, what’s missing, what needs to change. This app gets built with the recovery community - not for it.

Link in bio. Let’s go. 💙

Recovery doesn’t stop when the meeting ends. 💙

Neither do the cravings, the thoughts, or the hard moments in between.

I’m Lex. I’m in recovery, and I built SOBERX for those moments. It’s free, and it includes:

🤖 HAL, your AI recovery companion, available 24/7
🔥 Craving support
📓 Daily journalling and gratitude
🧘 Guided meditations
🧠 Tools to understand yourself and keep moving forward

It’s for people in AA, in other recovery programmes, or just starting out. It’s also for people with or without ADHD.

I didn’t build it for profit. I built it to pass on what I’ve learned and hopefully help someone else.

👉 If you know someone who might need this, please share it. Send it to a friend, your group, your sponsor, or anyone struggling in silence. One share could make a difference to someone’s day.

📲 Search SOBERX on the App Store or Google Play. It’s free to get started.

One moment at a time. Stay sober. Stay peaceful. Stay SOBERX. 🕊️

Autumn walks around the lake with my girl 🍂

Forty seconds of golden leaves and quiet laughter, and somehow it still feels like yesterday she was small enough to carry. How fast time flies.

Our bond is stronger than it’s ever been, and moments like this are the reason. Precious, precious moments.

Grateful for every one of them. Never take anything for granted. 🤍

What happens in your brain when the drink goes in? Watch to the end. 🧠

Just the cue can fire up your reward circuits before the first sip. Then alcohol hijacks the system that was built to keep you alive. It is not a character flaw.

If drinking has become a problem, you are not alone, and there is a way back.

If you drink heavily every day, do not stop suddenly. Speak to your GP first. Simplified illustration, not medical advice.

SOBERX does not replace meetings, a sponsor, a keyworker, or treatment; it holds the line between those catch-ups. Free, no ads, no paywall.

Why one is never enough. 🦔

The first one makes everything go soft. The noise switches off, the armour comes down, and for a little while you feel light.

That’s the hook. You’re not chasing the drink. You’re chasing that first feeling, and it never comes back the way it was.

Every time after, the high is shorter and the floor sits a little lower. Until you’re curled up at the bottom, spines out at everyone, still looking at the drop.

The little one is your kids. They see every high and every crash. They don’t shout. They just stop looking. And one day they walk away.

The first one lifts you. The rest just lower the floor.

This is where the story ends if nothing changes. It doesn’t have to end here. If this is you, you’re not alone. SOBERX is a free AI coach and sobriety tracker built for the ADHD brain, by someone in recovery. Link in bio.

🎬 Inspired by Nuggets (2014), the short film by Andreas Hykade.

Got an app idea, but no idea where to start? 💡

I’m Alex, and I build and ship mobile apps. My own app, SOBERX, went from an idea to live on both the App Store and Google Play, and it’s the first of several I’m bringing to market.

Here’s the mistake I see first-time founders make: they try to build everything at once and leave the store rules until the end. I do it the other way round. We start with the smallest version that proves your idea, and build in the store requirements from day one.

You get a working iPhone and Android app, login, a database, and AI features like a chatbot if you want one. All on your own accounts, so you own it.

Got an idea? Message me and I’ll tell you honestly what it would take. Link in bio 👇

We have a mouse. He has a chocolate chip cookie problem. There’s pasta, crackers and oats in that cupboard, and he’s ignored all of it for a chewed packet of cookies every single night.

Turns out addiction runs through the whole animal kingdom. Cats lose it over catnip. Bees clock on for nectar. Squirrels risk their lives for one peanut.

It’s not weakness. It’s biology. We’re all just animals standing in front of a cupboard being told “just one.”

Nobody has ever stopped at one. 🍪

Why is everyone suddenly quitting?

It’s not one trend. It’s a few uncomfortable truths landing at once: what alcohol actually costs your sleep, your body and your bank account. Swipe through the numbers.

None of this is about shame. If a few of these land, SOBERX is free on the App Store and Google Play, and it’s there when you need it. Link in bio.

ASCEND is out now. 23 tracks, and every single one carries a piece of my own recovery story.

This clip is me scrolling through the album and landing on Strength Within, one of the tracks that means the most to me on this record.

If you’ve ever needed a reminder of how far you’ve come, this album is for you.

Listen now on Spotify, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music. Link in bio.
