I always tell clients that seeing yourself in water can be a novel, kinder perspective because we don’t have the same preconceived notions of what we should look like from every angle the way we do on land. I love having a figure as part of a larger natural landscape, to zoom out and see yourself as a small part of something greater. We can let go of our hyper fixations, let the water complement and soften us. I’m understanding this even more as I learn to pose myself

Recognizing everything is temporary, makes every moment matter more.

We are left to build our own reminders, to sit with the harder questions, to follow artists like @loshap into the depths, where loss and transformation are not opposites, but part of the same process.

@phoebefitz captures Lauren’s siren spirit in the deep end of @theshelbourne pool ahead of a 50 foot dive to the world’s first underwater cemetery @neptunememorialreef. Phoebe is an underwater photographer based between Miami and Paris, known for her hypnotic dreamscapes that explore the coalescence of water and the human form.

@loshap is a Miami-based ceramic sculptor and installation artist blending ecology, architecture, and digital craft. She creates site-specific artworks inspired by marine and botanical systems, using ceramics and glass to build immersive public installations.

Her special projects include collaborations with @cmxnr , @naplesbotanical, and @art_sail. Lauren’s solo exhibitions at @vizcaya_museum, @fairchildgarden, and @bakehouseartcomplex suspend the viewer in a space that respects the past, while realistically looking forward.
