“Who For, I Wonder” 2026 Oil on linen, 214 x 171 cm A look at the pressures placed on young men to succeed and remain composed. What happens when the surface is peeled back, and who is it all for? #phoebeleech #jdmalatgallery #oilpaintingartist #contemporaryartworks #figurativeoilpainting by @phoebeleech
A moment in Mayfair Some of you might already be familiar with Oxfordshire-based fine artist @phoebeleech Leech, the incredibly talented woman who painted my portrait earlier this year for her final-year university exhibition. Last night, she hosted her first solo debut exhibition at the prestigious @jdmalatgallery in Mayfair. Since graduating university in September, Phoebe’s gone from finishing her degree to selling her stunning paintings to collectors across the UK all within just two months. Watching her growth over the past year has been nothing short of inspiring. Phoebe is a true example of what happens when talent, patience, and relentless dedication come together. đŸŽ„ I put together a little highlight video from the launch night, a glimpse into an evening filled with passion, creativity, and well-deserved celebration. by @phoebeleech

“Fax” 2026 - Oil on linen, 128 x 160 cm I pay attention to the secondary things and the unnoticed details, the moments in life that are unexplained, overlooked or easily passed by. While researching this project, I came across a childhood drawing sprawled across the back of a father’s fax printout. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, this spontaneous drawing of flowers sitting alongside this early piece of technology. It got me thinking about how our relationship with nature is changing, and how technology has slowly become part of even the most ordinary parts of life. The smell of a plant, the texture of its leaves, the feeling of being surrounded by something growing. These simple, sensory moments can feel strangely distant now. @mangrovesfoundation #biodiversitymatters #oilpaintingart #environmentalart #artworkdaily #paintingsofinstagram by @phoebeleech

Phoebe Leech (@phoebeleech) is a British figurative painter represented by JD Malat Gallery (@jdmalatgallery). I am drawn to her paintings of fragmented human figures interwoven with empty spaces that create psychological tension. There’s a special contrast between form and space that makes her work feel so emotionally charged. ‘Eyles’, 2026 #britishartist #femaleartist #londonart #figurativepainting Takeover by Ngai Ning Yu (@ngaining_artist) ‘90s Baby’ @phoebeleech ‘Felt Funny’ @phoebeleech ‘Mr Jones’ @phoebeleech Phoebe Leech in her studio, photographed in front of ‘Roxy’ @phoebeleech by @phoebeleech
