Have you heard of anyone who’s died and then come back to life?

Definitely a crazy question to ask I know, but I have! It’s my dad’s birthday today and I thought to share a story about him, and to extend a gift.

My dad had kidney failure since his senior year of high school. It was tough, but he never showed the pain or complained.

I’m grateful to have experienced a human like him. Despite his health challenges and the ripple affects because of his disease, he always made it his purpose to teach @sagexmcgee and I about a man you might’ve heard of, Jesus.

He taught us about the man who changed his life forever.

I found this letter a few weeks after my dad passed, 5 years ago. Being the one who had to tell the doctors when to turn off the life support broke me. I felt like I failed him. I was depressed and felt alone.

So I prayed, but like a raw emotional conversation and I asked God to show me a sign that my dad was okay. A couple hours later, I was going through his car and found this letter.

Back in 2016, when he went into cardiac arrest and was gone for 20 minutes, he wrote about what he saw and experienced when he died.

You’d think his brain would be damaged or that he wouldn’t be the same, but he came back completely normal and with a story to tell.

There is life after this one. And Jesus offers it freely!
 The gift? To believe that God sent His Son to save us so we could have eternal life. Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead, to reclaim our lives and remind us that we are made for more.

We don’t have to be perfect. We just have to believe in Him. That’s the Good News.

I love you all and I know my dad would want this letter shared, hoping it sparks you to start a conversation with God, and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He loves you! by @phoenix_mcgee

Wow, wow, wow 2 years, and it still feels like yesterday when we were 17, meeting for the first time at Starbs. I’m so grateful to call you mine, baby. I can confidently say God did me a huge favor because I don’t know how I could live without you.

I can’t wait to grow old with you, make more memories, and love you even more as each day goes by. Happy anniversary, osita, and here’s to many more to come. 🥂

This Valentine’s Day is so special because it is our first one as husband and wife🫣

We had a small wedding ceremony in December where we exchanged our vows and made a promise and commitment before the Lord to become life long partners. It’s turned out to be our best decision yet❤️

Everyday since has been so much more than what we could’ve ever asked for. We are so blessed to have met at such a young age and to have such an amazing support system of family and friends throughout these past 5 years.
