Some newish photo work (ahem... almost a year old) for @belladahl I’m pretty excited by this
sophisticated lighting. I used a zoom spot with a straw gel, and 1/4 ctb on the bounced fill, which works great at the forge studio. taken in The Forge by @photobusta

Found Flora of the Finnish Forest - 9 of 9

In my residency at @artelescreativecenter I spent several days outdoors setting up table top studios in the dense surrounding forest. In designing these images I wanted to showcase the delicate qualities of the natural world around me.

I spent hours watching the natural material decay as I hurried to capture the composition. Drop cloths were used to block the sunlight, nails to hold backdrop paper, tin foil to bounce light, pins and fishing line to balance each piece.

Finding the balance of an image is a personal endeavor I’ll always find satisfying. Doing that with living nature in various parts of their life cycle was an experience with its own set of constraints I will remember and cherish forever. taken in Arteles Creative Center by @photobusta
