Happiest of birthdays to the adventure partner of a lifetime who puts up with waiting for me on hikes (hence all of the photos of him from behind) and double kayaking doing most of the work while I look around and gawk at things. I do have a few photos of him from the front when I make him wait and pose for a pic. Late to the game (surprise to many I'm sure), but one year and two days after our wedding, I wanted to share an appreciation post for this guy, @jasonmaxwell26

Hard worker is an understatement.

Always up for an adventure (mainly the ideator of the adventures and inviting us all on the journey).

Kind, generous, inclusive, athletic, thoughtful. I could go on, I know you all can too.

And hilarious. Can't wait to keep laughing with you like this for years to come. Happy late anniversary and thank you for being the awesome person you are. 🧡 Go Birds 🦅

Jason + Allison

🍂🍁 Honored to capture Jason & Allison’s breathtaking fall wedding! Their love story is as vibrant as the changing leaves, and their photos are a testament to their beautiful day.

One moment that really stood out to me was during toasts, when Jason’s friend & groomsman retold a story of a conversation they had while on one of their many mountain adventures. These climbs are very strenuous, long & take a great deal of physical & mental fortitude.

I’m paraphrasing here but he asked Jason “How does someone know when they’re ready to do something like this?”

Jason answered, “When you can carry your partner through it.”

I couldn’t think of a better metaphor for marriage.

Happy birthday to the guy who makes everyone laugh until their sides hurt, is the definition of FUN adventure partner, and makes sure I have an empty plate at the end of every meal. Dog dad, brewery owner, mtn biker, snowboarder, unofficially the best sports analyst out there, hiker of all of the 14ers in CO, great friend, silly song creator, "funcle" and so much more. Edit: Posting the last photo separately so it is not cut off!

It's taken a while to post, but early November was by far the best trip to Moab I've ever had. A weekend full of celebrating friends and spending quality time with amazing, generous people, mountain biking in beautiful weather with the colorful and vibrant desert landscapes, and a really beautiful surprise. I can't describe how much I love @jasonmaxwell26. (Sorry not sorry, getting sentimental). And so grateful and appreciative to @champagnetrain for being there to capture the moment so beautifully and help catch me off guard, as well as be a part of such a memorable weekend. First time on Green Mountain for this little guy! He was great on the trails in Boulder and met lots of new friends along the way.

Jason also has a much better memory than me, and today we are celebrating Ueli's 1st birthday. Although we don't know his exact age, when he came into our lives as a little pup less than a year ago, we knew he was a special boy. Can't wait to celebrate many more of his birthdays in the future. 🐶🥰

This handsome boy is 6 today!! Herzog continues to climb peaks and crush bike rides like it's nothing, all while keeping his sweet, puplike personality in tact. He still loves grabbing his toys and showing them to his friends as he approaches butt first, wiggling along the way. He still can't catch very well, unless it's an ice cube, which he has laser focus for. All part of this sweet pup's charm. Happy birthday Herzy! 🥳 by @photogiraffe22

Getting back on rock after a two-year hiatus was a feeling I had long forgotten since leaving Boulder. The mental analysis of a route before you take your feet off the ground. Dynamically moving your body up, over, around and in between formations, looking for your next placement to get yourself a little bit higher with every movement. The "I've got this" and the "oh shit, I don't have this" moments that make you think and try harder, and make you stronger.

I feel like there's a lot more I can say, but all in all I just can't wait to get back to a sport I didn't realize how much I missed. And the views didn't hurt either 🏔☺ taken in Buena Vista, Colorado by @photogiraffe22
