Really nice to re-discover my first LP via this lathe cut vinyl from @elasticstage - it sounds really good and looks fantastic! The songs on the album were made between 2004 and 2009 and are quite far from what I do today, you can really hear the post rock and idm glitch electronica influences on it. The vinyl is made to order and takes a couple of weeks to arrive, you have to order it from Elastic stage directly (link in biog) There is also CD available if you prefer as the original cd release is long out of stock. I added some of the remixes and b-sides from the various EPs I released around that time as well on the cd version. by @photogramrecordings

Franz Kirmann’s first album “Random Access Memories” gets a vinyl and CD re-release.

The year is 2011 and before a famous duo of robots stole his album title, Franz Kirmann released his first long play after a string of singles and EPs.
The album was Photogram 3rd release (Phog 003) and was ,until now, only available digitally with a very limited CD run now long out of stock.
The updated version won’t run out of stock as we are pressing on demand with Elastic Stage, and are very happy with the result. It looks and sounds great!
You can get your copy now from our Elastic Stage shop - link in bio. @franz_kirmann @elasticstage

Franz Kirmann. Liza

Liza was Photogram’s first release (Phog001) back in July 2010. It received some radio support at the time from the likes of Laurent Garnier and John Kennedy on XFM. The video was made by filmmakers collective Electrikzoo - @elektrikzoo and the artwork is by Amie Herriott.

Liza also appeared on Franz’s first album “Random Access Memories” that we are about to re-release on lathe cut vinyl via Elastic stage and CD. by @photogramrecordings

A window onto another time. This is a very early release of mine, and my first experience of self-releasing, back in 2009.
Radiohead had made everyone think they could make it without a record label with the “pay what you want” release of In Rainbows the year before. Only, not everyone had the backing of a major label for 10+ years beforehand and, well… not everyone is Radiohead!
Besides that, it’s interesting to see how harsh the critique can be — something I very rarely see these days. Publications seem to either praise something or simply not publish anything at all.
You’ll also notice the Myspace mention. Those were the days!
That record ended up being picked up by Laurent Garnier — @laurent_garnier — who played it on his radio show It Is What It Is (next to a Radiohead track, actually, if my memory serves me well — so take that Ben Wood!).
A very proud moment for me, for sure! taken in London, United Kingdom by @photogramrecordings

Photogram started in 2010 but was put on hiatus after a few releases, as my musical adventures took me elsewhere — notably with Piano Interrupted and my other label, Days of Being Wild.

I’m reviving it now as a platform for some of my unreleased music and reissues of older material, but also as an outlet for artists emerging from my teaching and creative coaching practice, helping them take their music from finished work to a fully realised release.

The first releases are coming soon, so follow us to stay updated.

And if you’re interested in my creative coaching, send me a DM. taken in London, United Kingdom by @photogramrecordings
