I want to be you

Flashback to last month’s @draggedfromthegrave in celebration of @mr.edgarallanhoe’s birthday! I had so much fun being part of this show, and I still get a little misty eyed thinking about how kind and supportive everyone was!! Truly an honor to work with this whole cast, a show I won’t soon forget!

Look Inspired by @matieresfecalesparis and McQueen Dante A/W 96, I had fun spray painting Jesuses and putting them on everything

It’s my party, but I’m waiting for someone to start it

I had a blast hosting the FIRST MASCuerade last night!! I’m so excited to host each and every last Tuesday of the month as a takeover dedicated to showcasing the amazing kings and things we have in the state of Florida! We had a great turnout and a cast that really made me proud of what we’re building together! Thank you to all our performers who made sure this night was everything I dreamt it could be, and to everyone who supported that dream becoming a reality! @all.that.inertia has been one of my fiercest supporters, and allowing me to take over for a @nowthatswhaticalltuesdays gives us a platform that I appreciate more than words can express!

Are you a king, thing, or masculine performer who is interested in joining for future MASCuerades? Keep your eyes peeled for casting calls- we want to bring you to our UC stage!

Bringing back the matador after a long hibernation, with a few new upgrades and a fresh take!
Wig styling, outfit, and hat made by me
(I’d say that somewhere a Spanish ancestor is proud about this one, but they’d probably just call me a slur)

Being in the presence of so many talented drag kings/things was not only fun, but important. There’s so many talented artists out there so overlooked by most show hosts. There’s truly room for every variation of artist in this space- yet most of the time kings/things are overlooked, underpaid, and disregarded. Let’s keep pushing to change that.
Let’s see more kings/things on shows that are typical. Not special- like a Halloween show, or a themed show. But in the mix, as seen and represented as a drag queen would be. I think this shouldn’t be controversial to say. taken in The Emerald Vine Room by @phylaxxis
