Today we celebrate NINE years of Pick Her Up! While our video footage filters have dramatically upgraded over the years, our mission will forever be unchanged from the original vision: create a consistent, safe weekly space for women to hoop after college. We’ve now done that nearly every single week, year round, for nine years.

We’ve made it through a pandemic together, playing indoors and outdoors. Thousands of women have played at PHU, 700 are considered our core community who consistently come back for more, each and every week we’re still selling out and capping runs showing what we’ve always know: women wanna hoop!

Thank you for being part of this community and supporting our journey to provide this space for you. Here’s to another year and onwards!

Another fun run, this time with our Founder @eleyden visiting from LA!

More than 10 years ago she started PHU and grew our community to now over 900 players and counting. Pick Her Up provides a year-round weekly safe, fun and competitive place for women to play in the Bay.

Head to the 🔗 in our bio to get on our email list or check out our website where you can sign up to play. See ya next week!

Hey hoopers! We are so happy to welcome back Vanessa, one of the leaders who help make our runs possible! She took a break to bring another little baller into the world, but couldn’t stay away for long!

Our very own @sammironey22 won a little something at the @valkyries historic first game ever and we expect nothing less from one of our sharp shooting leaders! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Our founder @eleyden flew in from LA to celebrate the big moment for the Bay, and PHU players and leaders scattered throughout the electric crowd. We are already so proud of the Valkyries and can’t wait for more action!

Next up, we need a PHU off court meet up at a Valkyries game, what do you think? 👇🏽 taken in Chase Center by @pickherupball

Time and time again we hear that our runs are intimidating on social media. Many women watch us for a while online until they work up the courage to come in person. And when they do, they are highly likely to come back and typically become a regular coming every week. It’s one of the most common stories we see throughout our nine years of existence.

If this if you, we encourage you to sign up and you have our word that you’ll be welcomed! And if you need a little extra encouragement, listen to @srg.44’s kind words from right after her first run at PHU! taken in Oakland, California by @pickherupball
