✨ After a lot of planning, creating, and late nights behind the screen, I’m beyond excited to finally share something I’ve been working on… my photography website is officially LIVE! 📸

Photography has always been more than just pictures for me — it’s about capturing stories, emotions, and those fleeting little moments that we never want to forget. Over time, I’ve had the privilege of documenting everything from big milestones to everyday beauty, and this website is a way to bring all of that together in one space.

GET TO KNOW ME!

My name is Aly Well. I am a Rochester high school graduate, which I transferred to middle of my freshman year. I was an active participant of many clubs such as Debate, Chemistry, Big buddy, student council, lighthouse leadership, national honor society and national technical society. Along with being an active participant I maintained my academic background of an honor student.

I am now a freshman @siuedwardsville . Where I will be going to receive my bachelor’s degree in nursing. I plan to specialize in NICU, or possibly Pediatrics. Kids always have a special place in my heart! After college my plan is to do two years of residency and then do travel nursing with side work of photography!

I have always had a passion for photography. I was gifted my camera at age 12 and began to start working with photography. I wasn’t happy with the quality I was producing at the time and decided to hold off for a while. In October of 2024 my mom asked me to bring my camera on our trip to Oregon by doing so I realized the potential I had. I decided to run with the idea and started working on a portfolio. I am now almost a year in after just rolling with the idea of starting up a business and so far I’ve made so many great interactions. As my business grew my equipment has to! As the year progresses I can’t wait to make new memories with old and new clients!

October has always meant so much to me.

Long before I ever heard the words “you have cancer,” October was personal because of my family history. Both my mom and my grandma have been affected by breast cancer, so Breast Cancer Awareness Month was never just something I saw on social media or in stores. It was something that touched my own family.

Then, at 18 years old, it became my story too.

In January, I found a lump, and I was eventually diagnosed with Stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma, HER2-positive breast cancer. At an age when I thought I was just beginning to figure out who I was, I was suddenly learning about chemotherapy, surgeries, reconstruction, and treatments that I never imagined would be part of my life.

Now, October carries an entirely different weight.

I’ve made it through chemotherapy, undergone surgery and reconstruction, and I’m continuing my HER2-targeted treatments. I’m still healing, still adjusting, and still learning what life looks like after everything I’ve been through.

As a photographer, I spend so much of my life capturing people, their stories, their families, and the moments they never want to forget. Going through cancer has made me realize even more just how incredibly precious those moments are.

So this month, I’m not just sharing a pink ribbon. I’m sharing a piece of my story.

For my mom.
For my grandma.
For everyone who has fought, is fighting, or has been affected by breast cancer.
And for the 18-year-old version of me who never imagined October would one day feel this personal.

October will always mean more to me than awareness. It represents family, strength, survival, and a reminder to never take the little moments for granted.

What started as a vision for a God-centered session with all the country farmhouse vibes turned into the sweetest surprise.

Cheers to The Hamblins 💍🥂

It was a HOT wedding, that’s for sure, but it was filled with so much love, laughter, and happiness. 🤍

I met these two lovebirds at the very beginning of my photography career, so getting to be a part of such a special day for them means more than I can put into words. Watching their love grow and getting to capture this next chapter was truly something special.
