Our aim was to raise $1,407 for Red Nose this month, a number to reflect Theo's birthday on the 14th of July. With everyone's generosity we have raised $4,845, which is absolutely astounding. This money funds research into SIDS and stillbirth, plus provides support to families that have experienced loss like mine.

In the months after Theo's passing, life was bleak. I woke up every morning with renewed despair when I remembered it was all real. The only thing I looked forward to was sleeping. Unconsciousness was the only time I had respite from grief. Awake, I wondered what the point of anything was.

Eventually we took a trip overseas to get away from it all. I just found new reasons to grieve. People asked if we were on holiday. How could I explain to them that the only reason I could be there is because my son died? It wasn't a holiday, we were desperate to escape.

There came a time when I couldn't keep going on like this. I started reading stories from people with similar experiences. I was surprised that they helped. Here were people who truly knew what it was like to lose a baby. It was both heartbreaking and comforting to read about their losses.

Grief counselling from Red Nose has helped to bring some measure of meaning back into my life. But it will be something I need for a very long time going forward.

Some people forget or don't understand, but we are not just dealing with Theo's passing. He would have turned a year old in July, with an adjusted age of 9 months because he was so premature. Would he have been a ball of energy or a chill baby? A good sleeper or a night terror? Look more like mummy or daddy? We will wonder these kinds of things for the rest of our lives as other kids learn to walk, start school, go through teenage angst, the thousands of milestones we all take for granted.

This is why I'm so touched by everyone's support for Red Nose this month. Funding for research into preventing SIDS and stillbirths is so important, as is the support they provide for grieving families.

@pigsc2 shared his early copy the Starcraft Miniatures game with me and asked me to paint it.

So I went wild and gave the queen of blades some copper wire to show the psionic energy coming out of her hands.

I was invited to compete in the $10k Castle Cup hosted by Grubby and WisdomGG and featuring other Age of Empires 4 streamers. Luckily I got to team up with PtitDrogo who carried me hard and we actually came FIRST PLACE!

Time to announce my first ever SUBATHON!
