We cherish what we receive from the earth, but we equally cherish the community it allows us to create.

Harvesting, together. Cultivating meals, together. Breaking bread, together. We cannot do one without the other.

In our classes we try to create an opportunity to do just that. Learning, creating, and feasting, together.

Tickets still available for October classes, also be sure to check out our future classes while you’re there! Available on our website, link in bio.

“Never measure the height of a mountain until you have reached the top. Then you will see how low it was.”

Beloved Tribe,

How does one come to know something? Truly, intimately, in its totality? Is there ever a point where all there is to understand about a particular path has been understood? Is that mastery? A final arrival?

Beloved tribe, meet the behind-the-scenes crew.
That's my sister @elizabeth.g.alexander and our friend @zoeknox1 in pink), allegedly helping — though right now they're mostly cranking that Soulja Boy in the kitchen.

Between dance breaks, here's what's actually rising this week:
Thursday — @thekingsgrantfarmersmarketvb (Virginia Beach)
Friday — @ghentfarmersmarketnorfolkva (Norfolk)
Fresh, stone-milled @deeprootsmilling on the table. Good soil, good grain, the real-deal stuff. Elizabeth's working both markets this week — come grab some flour and say hi. (She promises to behave. Mostly.)
AND — a whole new season of hands-on classes is on the way. Bread, bagels, pastry, and more, at @kitchenbarnvb and a gorgeous new spot in historic Suffolk. First dates drop soon.
May it offer strength for your journey — and rhythm for these two. by @pilgrimbread
