Every mission starts with preparation, building skills until they become second nature, because every decision in the aircraft matters.

Earlier this month, our aviation section pilots and SWAT officers completed fast-rope and airborne use of force drills. Training like this is essential to stay current and mission-ready. As they say, “How you train determines how you perform.” We had a blast during this training session. Stay safe and mission ready! -Sheriff Pilot Danny Casanova.

Taking public safety aviation to the next level

I had the opportunity to experience a demo flight. The Daher Kodiak 900 equipped with a @trakkasystems TRAKKA camera system (a high performance multi-sensor surveillance systems).

Really impressive to see the aircraft’s performance and mission capabilities firsthand. Thanks to @daher_official for the opportunity!

Fast Rope Friday! 🚁

Today’s training was fast rope deployments and hoist operations.

Sheriff and other law enforcement (SWAT) members receive rigorous training and are often cross-trained in multiple disciplines in order to ensure that officers are prepared for all situations they encounter.
