The screening concept takes the well as a starting point, thinking through its vertical and horizontal associations. Vertically, it considers the well as a space of depth, descent, and looking inward. Horizontally, it follows the concrete surface of a well, on the former Nuss Brunnen Feld, and the flow of water extending toward the port, the sea, and the horizon beyond.

The works in the program engage with these relationships through different distances between the body, nature, objects, and architecture, as well as through different ways of looking and sensing space. The screening will take place within the space of Walnut Well itself, so the site and its architectural surfaces will also become part of the viewing experience.

orbit is an international and interdisciplinary platform for exhibition and publication, extending across conversations, interviews, research, and other forms of exchange, founded and directed by Rio Usui.
From autumn 2026, orbit will be hosted by Walnut Well, where it will develop and present a series of activations and cultural events.

A gathering across distance.

Thank you to everyone who came, watched, listened, and spent time with the works—whether through the screening, the installation, online or passing by the window.

What began as a dispersed, digital field briefly came into proximity—images, sounds, and gestures meeting in shared space.

With gratitude to all participating artists, Joe Wakeman and Millennium Film Workshop for making this moment possible.

🌊 Until the next drift.

𝟯/𝟲 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗨𝗠 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗠 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣 🎥

We’re honored to share that 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 will be presented at Millennium Film Workshop (@millennium_film)on March 6 at 7:00 PM EST in New York!

Curated by Ping Ho (@pingho.art), the pavilion brings together 50 works by 49 artists exploring distance, perception, longing, and the emotional geography of blue. Conceived as a browser-based exhibition, the project drifts between ocean and interface, reflecting on how digital space reshapes our sense of proximity and presence.

For this special presentation, 36 video works will move from screen to cinema, gathering in a shared physical space at Millennium Film Workshop, a historic home for experimental moving-image practices and artist-centered community. In addition to the screening, a browser station will be installed in the gallery, allowing visitors to explore the full online pavilion in person, on view through March 20, 2026.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 is an online exhibition pavilion curated by Ping Ho as part of The Wrong Biennale 7th Edition (Nov 1, 2025 – Mar 31, 2026). The exhibition explores the ocean as a metaphor for longing, displacement, and transformation—drawing inspiration from Rebecca Solnit's idea of The Blue of Distance. Bringing together artists working with digital media, AI, and imagery, the pavilion reflects on how blue, both color and concept, embodies the tension between the visible and the invisible, the near and the far. It invites viewers to drift across screens as if over water, encountering works that question the boundaries of place, memory, and connection in our increasingly fluid digital world.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 brings together 50 works from 49 artists around the world, including Adrian Sorin Sinescu, Alexandra Light, Andrey Berger, BAKUDI SCREAM, blanche the vidiot (Szabina Péter, Kristóf János Bodnár), Bodini, castroduperly + madison mae parker, Chen-Yi Wu, Durdija Vucinic, EJ Lee, emily d'achiardi, Enrico Dedin, erica shires, F.

特別感謝DC(@dctumusic)的大力協助才得以讓展覽順利呈現,以及攝影師Toni(@toni_hsu_0914)的展覽紀錄!

Cross-Cultural Room Exchange: Taipei–New York
時間: Aug 28 (三), 2025 1:00 - 8:00 PM
