✨ It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself so Hi, I’m Chloe! 👋

I’ve been beading for around 18 ish years now and have been involved in beads in so many different ways over the years… from selling them 🛍️to writing about them 🖊️to fondling them…🤭 Now I thrive getting to teach my designs to others, share beading tips and techniques and help others to discover the joy of beads and improve their skills.

Here’s a little about my background and how Pinkhot came to be! 💜

It’s hard work making a living with beading but I’m so happy to be able to spread the beady joy with this community!💕

It's finally here, the Yuletide Sparkle Snowflake & Poinsettia Extended Pattern is officially live! 🎉

Get ready to sparkle, ✨ because this time you get to decide whether you make a festive Poinsettia or a sparkling Snowflake, or honestly, why not both?
This design is double sided and really versatile, working equally well as a tree ornament or a pendant depending on what you fancy.
I'll also show you how to create a smaller matching version for a gorgeous pair of earrings, and full instructions are included for a statement necklace too, so there's plenty to keep you busy with just one pattern.

Have you ever had a trip that really nourished the soul??🥰

That’s what this weekend in Sweden did for me! I had the absolute best time. Despite a cancelled flight and getting there 24 hours late, coming down with a stinking cold on Monday plus delays getting home, ✈️this weekend really was EVERYTHING! My heart is full.

Great people, great food, beading together, a hot tub (not at the same time), the northern lights, mushrooms, 🍄‍🟫nature and deep, open conversations. 🩷
Anna, tack så mycket for being the hostess with the mostess and opening your beautiful home to us! 🩷

I'm part of something rather special...✨

Stronger Together is a beautiful e-book from @beadingschoolbyerika, bringing together thirteen independent designers, myself included, to create a collection of component based jewellery designs.

Rather than one fixed pattern, each piece is built from beaded beads, fancies and focals you can mix, match and combine however you like, so no two makes ever need to look quite the same.

I loved getting to design my piece for this one, and seeing it sit alongside everyone else's work has been such a genuine joy. 🥰

There's something really special about a project like this, it's a proper reminder of what a community of makers can create when we collaborate rather than compete, and just how much talent is out there when you put it all in one place. 💫

What you see: a beautiful finished kit, ready to go.
What you don’t see: weeks of picking out colours, checking stock, being sure to only work with the threads and beads the shop actually carries, picking new colours when certain ones aren’t in stock, beading samples, writing the pattern, drawing diagrams, promoting it once it’s finally ready, and somewhere in the middle of all that, emails, spreadsheets, more emails, Zoom calls, and taking approximately a hundred photos.
It’s a genuinely lovely process, but it’s definitely not as quick as it looks! Anyone else in a creative or maker business, does this sound familiar?

I still remember when SuperDuos first came out, and yet somehow it feels like they've always been here?! 💎

Miyuki Tila beads were actually the first multi-hole beads on the market, but SuperDuos followed close behind in 2012. They're manufactured in the Czech Republic as a pressed glass bead, made by several different factories, though some of my favourite colours and coatings come from @BeadsMatubo.

I filmed a little video of the production process while I was out there, link in my bio if you fancy a look! 🎥

You might also come across Twin Beads from @Preciosabeads, slightly smaller and flatter when viewed side on, plus a few other SuperDuo variations that vary in quality.

With hundreds of colours and coatings to choose from, there's one out there for pretty much any project, and they're brilliant for peyote, herringbone, freeform, or bezelling. ✨

Squeee! I can now reveal my latest collaboration with @riversidebeads ! Those who joined us on Facebook today will have already had a peek, but I can now reveal what I have designed for Riverside’s October Bead Box! ❄️

This sparkling snowflake uses shimmering Ginko beads combined with Gemduos and glass pearls!

There are a handful of this month's boxes remaining as a one-off kit - each containing the pattern and beads to make a pretty ornament or pendant, with matching earrings, plus a bundle of other beady treats! See the link in my bio to get yours!
