I was addicted to making puffy jewelry designed by Chloe @pinkhot_uk

https://www.pinkhot.co.uk/shop/puffy-jewels-beaded-bead-pattern/

I don't have many colors of super duo beads, so used infinity beads for a Christmas -colored one, and diamond two-holed beads for the blue one as an experiment. Both are successful and puffed!

Thank you for Chloe making such a fun design and thank you for Erika
@beadingschoolbyerika introducing them to us! It's so much fun!

Reunited with this lovely one! @tigerguld ❤️ I still get a thrill how little tiny beads can bring people together from around the world!

It’s been wonderful exploring Sweden today and having a very long-overdue catch up!

More forest adventures tomorrow…!

I was really excited to finish the large bead board last night... Even more excited to discover it matches the bead crochet rope necklace I'm working on for a certain bead magazine 🤫🤫🤫

Today @hollytucker is asking us makers to say #yesthisismydesk! So, seeing as this as tidy as it ever really gets, despite my best efforts, here it is. It’s not insta worthy but it’s real. I will say that it is organised chaos, everything has a place.

This is where I write my patterns, draw my diagrams, update my website, store my current works in progress and teach my classes (you can see my ‘highly sophisticated’ zoom set up if you scroll 😅).

I’m feeling pretty fatigued today so it’s a rare #nomakeupselfie. 😅

Things of note in the pics:
✨ Plenty of boxes of projects in progress filled with rainbows of bead tubes
✨ Gorgeous project bags made for me by @beadworkbysian
✨ Stack of 90s & 00s CDs just out of sight along with my actual CD & tape player (yes there are several @officialsteps CDs in there)
✨ Recent artwork by the tiny beader

Thanks for taking a peek! Now show me yours!

Wow it's time for a #MyBeadingYear check in - how fast is this year going?!

This time, @jeanpowerbeadwork and @mybeadingyear are asking How my beading plans are going? I had to look back at my MyBeadingYear post from January where I talked about my hopes and plans, as I feel like since January I've really been flying by the seat of my pants. 😂

Well.. I said I wanted to take more classes, I did take one back in January with the lovely @Stephanieanneburnham - that was super fun, but I have yet to finish my Echinacea, it's a WIP so I haven't booked any others. 😂😂 I still also haven't made my @Threadabead Teddy...

One thing I did talk about was bringing to fruition a series of beaded lockets... and I have started these: My Literature Lockets collection. I've only got two so far, Dorothy and Wicked Witch, and lots more planned. The cabochons (and my perfectionism) have proved more of a challenge than I thought, so it's taking me longer than expected. I'm really looking forward to introducing you to more leading ladies from my favourite novels soon!

What else? Well, I said I wanted to get back to in-person shows, and I'm excited about the @Beadworkers Beading Festival at Daventry in a few weeks time!

I have project ideas and plans coming out my ears, so maybe there's still enough of the year left to bring a few of them to life...

Tell me more about your #MyBeadingYear???

Pictured: My two latest Literature Lockets... and swipe to see my current beading board for some Instagram vs Real Life 😂

Had a blast getting my geek on at @wbtourlondon today 🪄- a very belated gift from pre-lockdown! I haven’t been since just after they opened Platform 9 3/4 🚂and there was so much new stuff to see as well bits I’m sure I missed last time (I don’t remember seeing Luna’s jewellery before)!📿 You can see more peeks in my stories.

We all had a great day especially the tiny beader (despite the scary spiders!). Oh and there was vegan chocolate frog brownie to end on - just to finish off an already awesome day! 🙌

Normal beady service to be resumed tomorrow - with a new video coming your way! 👀
