I think he approves 😊 had so much fun customizing this denim jacket with my little shadow. I don't paint or draw animals very often, but I guess that's changing! I must say, Leo is my very favorite subject I've ever painted. Look at that beautiful, sweet face! And of course, I couldn't help but add beading-- my new favorite thing thanks to the purple lover bodysuit (omg 2 eras tour shows left! I can't believe it). Speaking of the purple lover bodysuit, I have another custom jacket in the works right now 👀

Finishing touches on my Golden Boy jacket 💛 i can't stop sewing beads on everything I touch lately haha. I'll have a video of the full process, too. This has been the most fun little side project, and now I can't wait to paint more custom denim.
Painted with liquitex acrylics mixed with fabric medium. Worked like an absolute DREAM.

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family and the Rockettes, of course 😊 Always such a joy to watch @kiefer_as_in_sutherland in his element, and to see how engaged Alexander is in the show every year. Alexander also helped me make a delicious apple pie for our Wednesday Thanksgiving dinner, and the video was too cute not to share. Hope everyone's holidays are off to a merry start ❤️ *instagram aspects cut the bottom of the video off, but that was indeed an apple core I sent flying across the room lmao* taken in Radio City Music Hall by @pinklemonartstudio

After months of beading and sequining my eras lover bodysuit, as well as making bracelets for the past 2 years, I developed a big love for beading! I knew I wanted to add a pearl bead on these shoes, but quickly realized I could do a lot more than one pearl 😆. Now I've gone so far as to replace laces with a string of beads. I can't stop. Well, i CAN stop because I don't want to ruin them. But I'm absolutely loving this process. When I'm tired of painting, I can switch to beading, and back again. I tend to put projects aside when I need a break from the monotony, but I think I've found the cure! (And don't get me wrong, I love the monotony of focusing on one endless art project detail at a time lol. Sometimes you just need to switch it up)

Part 5: Of course the biggest shoutout to @elizabethbanks for her flawless Effie Trinket, and the creative team at @thehungergames for beefing up her role in the series. Best book-to-film change ever made.
More characters coming soon! I'm finally getting some reels together under threat of my phone storage filling up. I have to buckle down and make videos or delete everything 🫠 I'm so terrible at social media.

Part 4: Finally back with a Hunger Games shoe update! Up today: Buttercup! (Featuring an impassioned cat speech 😆) i also decided to go all out and add beading to these shoes, which you can get a glimpse of here. I'm obsessed, and will be incorporating beading EVERYWHERE now.

Happy Halloween, friends! We had such a great Halloween season, complete with a little one who is old enough to enjoy and understand the fun, but little enough that I still get to dress him as cute baby animals 😄. A thank you into the void is in order for the Facebook mom who made this costume for her kid seven years ago and shared it on Puffin Rock's page, where i saw it months ago when searching for halloween ideas. I knew I wanted to try my hand at it. It was so much fun creating and sewing this costume just for my son. I'm looking forward to next year when he will have his own ideas of who he'd like to be! 🎃👻 by @pinklemonartstudio

Back with part 3 of my updated hunger games shoe oil painting journey! This is one of the biggest (though smallest) painting projects I've ever done. Although I've painted shoes before, and hunger games shoes at that, I've never attempted to include so many portraits or details. I think it's coming together quite well, and I'm particularly excited about Buttercup (up next). I'm really enjoying painting on such a small canvas, and I think i want to try some portrait and detail painting on book edges next. I love a good sprayed edge, but a designed edge?? 😍

Feels so good to paint again after a long break! I felt newly inspired to jump back to these shoes after getting my hands on the new illustrated edition #thehungergames @nicodelort 🔥
This is shaping up to be my favorite hunger games art project yet-- and my first oil painting for the mockingjay. I still need to narrow down who else is being featured on the sides. I cannot make up my mind! Rue, prim, and buttercup are already in the plans. Who do you think is most deserving of a place?? (Sorry, gale is not an option. Some photos of the purple lover suit, including a couple of Taylor at my eras show back in Jersey 💜 what a journey. I have a spreadsheet of all my materials, and I'm putting videos together showing the boots and necklace DIY, if you're interested in where I found anything! I'm happy to share. (Also happy to share some what-not-to-dos I discovered the hard way lol) While I could keep making adjustments to this forever, it's time to move on.
