I have loved SLADE since I was little, they are Black Country heroes and let’s be honest, the only heralds of Christmas anyone believes. I am still on cloud 9 after meeting Noddy, he and his wife were so lovely and thought my ‘Tank Driving dressed as Slade’ Hen Do was hilarious. Burr Stone hasn’t been quarried in about a hundred years and it’s not really been worked in that time either, so for my Brother in Law to be making a 14m long course of Burr Stone for Spetisbury church is quite remarkable. Apparently it responds in a similar manner to Ham Stone, which is fortunate as that’s the stone Geoff has worked with for decades. I’m always astounded by the work and the extra effort that heritage craftspeople put in to look after our beloved old buildings. Sourcing the stone involved the Grandson of the last man who quarried it, recalling the quiet corner of their 400 year old quarry where it had been put by, and being persuaded to part with it. #stonemasonry #heritage #craft #somerset #stone by @pinkshoes81

@snooksthehatters is a most wonderful place, so many hats 👒🎩🧢👑 but you try them on and then you accidentally fall in love and you can’t leave it behind or the hat will be sad … and they’ve given your dog treats and … yes Isn’t this a most excellent & becoming hat? taken in Bridport, Dorest by @pinkshoes81
