ACTING THE SONG:
“Cabaret”
I’ve been thinking about Sally a lot lately.
Having the honor of playing Sally Bowles was one of the biggest honors and highlights of my career.
I was in a body that was not my own and completely surrendered to her with reckless (yet purposeful) abandon. Looking through these photos… I remember this of course but it was not me. I was but a vessel for this beautiful woman’s tragic story. A tragic story that’s not far from my own or any other woman fighting to stay in a spotlight she’s utterly convinced is divinely placed for her. Fighting for LOVE. Fighting for LIFE. And simply just trying to have a perfectly marvelous time.
Thank you @brtstage for this thrill.
Thank you Mark Garvin for these incredible images.
Thank you @theatrephiladelphia for working tirelessly to keep art alive and thriving on our local stages.
When I go, I’m going like Elsie.

Absolutely heartbroken. We lost one of the greatest humans. Comedian. Genius. Warrior. Scientist. Technician. Father. Husband. Father. Brother. Friend. It never ever felt like Jay was dying of ALS, only that he was living with it and fiercely fighting it. His contribution to research and innovation is unparalleled. He helped create software that will help many many more patients, doctors, and caretakers. I am so proud of him. He will be so missed.
Missy, Loghan, Peyton… these are three of the absolute strongest and incredible humans you’ll ever meet. My heart is aching for you and sending you love beyond measure.
My dear friends Barb and Gene. This is an unimaginable loss. You have become my family over the past 13 years. I treasure you more than you’ll ever know.
Rest in Power, Jay. I can’t wait to see what you do next, cause we know you’ll be up there still calling the shots, landing the punchlines, and making the world a better place. Love you. ❤️

On August 14 this hauntingly beautiful creature turned 17. “Pride is not the word I’m looking for…” The things this person will soon do… “the limit does not exist.”
Happy HAPPY Birthday, my darling girl. I love you, Nora Bella.
You are my shining star. My precious jewel. Even when you don’t text me back and turn off your location.
