What a night. 🔔

On Wednesday I got to celebrate 70 years of Bells Are Ringing (@bellsareringing54) at @54below along with this unbelievable cast. Comden, Green and Styne wrote songs that just make you happy to be singing them, and getting to share that stage with everyone here was so much fun.

Thank you @askurow & @itsjoemarchese for including me in this special night, to our music director and my friend Michael Lavine, and to the incredible cast - I learned from every single one of you and fell in love with this show.

And a very special thank-you to the legendary @steverossnyc for being in the audience. Having you there meant the world. 💛

Still taking in the “Something Wonderful❤️” Gala!

First, I kept checking my teeth as Jenny Lee Stern was the best MC as ever - she had the room in laughs throughout the night! Then came the state funding checks formally presented by Senator Santarsiero & PA State Rep, Tim Brennan (totaling more than $1.5 million) — a surreal moment it was!

I have to also mention, the gala honorees: Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, they were gracious with conversation, warm and kind — on top of being beyond talented and inspiring! Congratulations on your award presented by Ted Chapin.

Lastly, it was no surprise that Liz Callaway had everyone overjoyed with her brilliant performance and when she and Christy Altomare sang their role as Anya in Anastasia together, it gave me the chills in the best way!

It was another year where the energy was through the roof! The room was sold out and filled with nicest people- artists, performers, supporters, volunteers, donors, community leaders, and people who genuinely care about preserving history in the arts and humanitarianism.

What a night. What a moment for the Hammerstein Museum and an enormous thank you to all who made evening and the museum’s awe-inspiring momentum possible, it’s been a gift for me to be part of this project’s experience! A special congratulations most of all to Will, his hard work for this vision has actually happened - thanks to him and so, so many❤️💫 - the list is long & mighty!

“Keep building up impossible hopes. Impossible things are happening every day!”

Last Friday, I had the absolute pleasure to watch many of my friends both on and off stage tell one of the most moving performances of RENT I’ve ever witnessed. I was so emotional watching it and extremely proud of all of my friends and colleagues who worked on this show. I will tell you, the story hit me in a way I’ve never experienced and I absolutely loved it. If you have the chance to go see this beautiful production at @theaterbcp I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. #rent #proud #friendship #theatre #sing
